I've lived in several apartments in the past 5+ years and this complex, by far, is a great community. The manager, Bridgett, was welcoming and you can tell she does her absolute best to accommodate your concerns. She was the first face I met when I randomly showed up to get a tour of the complex and is ultimately the reason why I chose to live here. She was (and still is) hospitable and sets the tone, and bar, for what a resident would and should expect from Cedar Rim. I left after my first visit with all my questions answered along with a hard copy estimate that broke down the monthly rent and application requirements-it was so simple I just texted my husband the form and he understood it. There are no gimmicks or hidden fees. It's all laid out for you to take and ponder for a period of time. The pricing we feel is fair for the area (and amenities) and it's location is in the center of the major areas we commute to. They have an online portal where you can pay rent and submit service requests which makes it convenient when life gets hectic. It's about a 15-20 minute drive (with regular traffic) to go to my work in Bellevue and about a 25 minute drive (regular traffic as well) to go to downtown Seattle where my husband works. Another perk is that it's pet friendly! There's a small relief area supplied with waste bags and trash bin. Watch your step, though, because there are a few guilty culprits not cleaning up after their pets. When we had an issue with our neighbor's smoke (this is a smoke free community) seeping into our apartment several times, Bridgett worked diligently to take care of it and now we have an odor free place. Aside from that we have not had any issues with neighbors and everyone seems to respect each others' spaces. The maintenance crew are competent & professional as well. Maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner (so far, we've had at least 4-5 requests submitted and each one has been addressed within 24 hours or less). The staff always acknowledge your presence with a smile, nod or "hello". There have been a few incidents involving our vehicles getting broken into for small electronic items (it was an electronic device charger cord) as well as a hit-and-run overnight (a significant black scratch/smear that removed paint off the corner of the back bumper), but obviously is out of the control of the complex. Parking can, at times, be very limited and some spaces are narrow. I've had a few nights where I've had to park on the other end of the complex but that's usually if you have a late night at work or an outing. The hot tub is a nice amenity and appears to be clean. Management does a good job at notifying us of any projects happening on site, such as assigned parking and scheduled gutter cleanings. Our apartment building is relatively quiet considering the walls aren't very well insulated (the washer/dryer & dish washer are loud & if you have neighbors living above you like we do, you will hear them stomp around from time to time), but you learn to adapt. The only thing I dislike is that Comcast is the only cable and internet provider available to use here (which I already have several occasions of poor customer service from them and quite frankly I despise them), so that was a bullet I had to bite but it is what it is. Overall our experience at Cedar Rim has been pleasant-their hard work shows and is much appreciated!
Would not recommend this place. Complete lack of care from management when it comes to the tenants. Buildings are old and just received a renovation, but all the plumbing is dated, hence all your drains are constantly clogged, toilets have to be fixed every month. Your car will be towed even having residents parking tag on it and no one will reimburse you for it. So if I were you, I would look at some other apartment complex. And btw did I mention that it's next to the freeway, so you constantly hear noise of the 405 freeway
I've lived in these beautiful apartment homes for almost 2 years now and must say it's been a great experience! The office staff are all very accommodating and friendly, always going out of their way to help. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a pleasant, safe and tasteful place to call their home.
Cedar Rim is great. We've been here almost 2 years, and we have no complaints about the complex at all. The staff in the leasing office are very accommodating, and know us all on a first name basis. The apartments and grounds are very well kept. We've never had any issues with insects or our unit being in disrepair or unruly or loud neighbors. A couple times we've had to call on maintenance to fix a few things, and they've always been very efficient and professional in addressing our concerns.
Cedar Rim is a good area to live in. The management has been extremely helpful with any requests or questions that we may have had, and the service team is top notch in helping to fix anything that becomes broken and being timely, friendly, and clean while doing so. The area is close by several food options and an easy jump to I405 and I90, and is walking distance to the Seahawks training facility. The community does not have a great area for kids to play in or a pool, but it is close enough to Coulon Park that these are easily remedied concerns. Pet friendly, including dedicated areas for dogs to do their thing. Looking forward to spending more time here...
