It's not hood. Good location and nice layout. It's affordable too. They brought in new staff witch makes a big difference. No more bad tudes. They are very sweet and friendly. I wish people would clean up after there selves because it would make it look much more better. Bottom line is if you are looking for a good place to live that isn't very expensive and is in a good location this is where you should be!
Someone stated they've lived here for a number of years with no police coming out? That's a joke. The first four months here we've had our bikes stolen, police knocking on people's doors in the middle of the night. Our neighbors 2 year old daughter was found wandering in a feces filled diaper outside by herself with feces and dirt covering her from head to toe. I called the police and turned out her crack head mom was sleeping the whole day while her kid was out wandering around all afternoon. This place is horrible! For the amount we pay in rent (not including water mind you) you would think they could afford more than three maintenance workers. Since we've lived here we've dealt with a/c problems, mold, leaky facets, water damage, broken fridge, and now a roach problem. Be prepared to wait forever for your problem to get fixed. Even when they did come, they either say there's nothing they can do, I'll get back to you, or they do a horrible attempt at fixing the problem. Our fridge and a/c have been our biggest issue since we moved in. Our a/c would constantly leak water into the hallway. Which we noticed previous water damage on the move in inspection. It took them over a year to replace a motor in it, which before that was driving up our electric bill. My husband does HVAC, even he knows our whole unit should be replaced but they won't do it. This place is circa 1970s and that's how old the unit is, they had to special order the stupid motor. Instead of just replacing the whole thing. Our fridge was on the fritz since we moved in, it finally just stopped working. And it took them over a week to even attempt to try and fix the problem, that's not before I called corporate and emailed them multiple times with no response. So the problem goes all the way to California where they are located. These people are rude act like you're just another number. The place looks deceivingly nice when you come check it out. The say they have two pools but the other one you don't see is never open because they don't maintain it. It's disgusting. If you're a college kid who doesn't care about living in a comfortable clean apartment. Then by all means come here. All us other adults that know better and have families, avoid this place like the plague. Update: Right now as I write this, my hallway, bathrooms and my bedroom is becoming flooded with sewer water! Myself and my neighbor has been waiting over an hour for emergency maintenance to come and fix this. We've had this happen numerous times. This place is the devil I swear.
Horrible place. The new managers are not any better than the ones for Waterside. My son lived here for a year. AC never worked, dishwasher was useless. The would send people who would say they fixed it but the same problems still existed. He had roaches in the apartment and wasps outside it. He did not renew his lease because they wanted an extra 100 dollars in rent. They tried to charge him extra rent the last month even though he had a written agreement for what was to be paid and he had already paid it. Then after he moved they never contacted him by phone or mail, both of which they had, and sent a bogus damages bill to collections. We helped him move out of there. There was no damage at all.
This place is a mess. I went to look at the model at first and, of course, it's super nice. The price is very good for such a roomy space. So I decided to sign the lease. THEN EVERYTHING CHANGED. My move-in date changed three times, they literally made me would have to move in the first day of my work. Besides that, when I was doing the tour, they told me that there would be washer and dryer. But two days before "my first move in day", during the conversation about my application form, they told me that there's no washer or dryer and the room won't be ready the day I was supposed to move in. So I had to change to the another one. And I asked them if everything else stays the same, they told me YES. But when I drove all the way from Miami to Orlando to move in, the room they gave doesn't have lights or fan in the living room and bedroom. Not to mention that bugs are everywhere in the room and the toilet is nasty af. And the room was supposed to be cleaned by the maintenance already. Also, they didn't tell me that they don't have fitness center even though I asked when I first visited the place. THEY SAID ITS 24/7. But they actually didn't have it at that point. The buildings themselves are super old. Not surprisingly, they also didn't tell me until I was about the sign the contract, the old paint on the building has some kinds of bad material that the government had to require them to inform the renters through a document. The staffs are super rude, they never said hi to me every time when I went to do my paper work. At the end, I'm glad that I left this apartment because I don't know what I would go through if I stayed after all these happened. Hope my experience will help anyone that wants to live here to reconsider of this decision.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly when my mom passed (especially Marilyn). The entire complex is being remodeled and it was one of the things that sold me on renting here. The neighborhood is good. Haven't seen any rodents so far and I think that the complex is really turning around.
