A friend of mine (a single mom of 2 children) applied and then got a call a little over a month ago from the Highland Creek management office that there will be available unit for her on March 13th(2015). She brought necessary documents, paid the deposit and gave 30 day notice. Now she moved out from her old place, staying with her relatives for approximately 2 weeks while waiting for Highland Creek apartment, which becomes ready to move in on March 13th. Today is March 12th and she don't have a firm answer if she is moving in or not. Main manager is never available, and the assistant can't get her act together. She realized just yesterday that my friend's paperwork is missing a check mark and one signature. All the paperwork has been in process for over a month now and they keep dragging their feet on qualifying process! Poor girl is practically homeless with 2 yang children and these people taking their sweet time to get her in. She must switch schools, find a new day care, but she does not even have a rental agreement in hand yet!! So what happens to equal housing opportunity act? I've never seen such treatment in my life. I owned homes and I have been renting too, but this situation is completely out of control. When my friend asked for the owner's number/ or main management office, she was told by the manager's assistant that there is no other entity besides them. She was not given a number to the owner. How is that possible?Does anyone have the phone # to the management company or the owner? Today is the 12th and she does not have an answer from the office if she can move in tomorrow or not. Please HELP!!!
This is the worst complex. They don't explain anything and they are rude. I lived her for a year, and my apartment was in EXCELLENT condition when I moved out. I never even hung a picture on the wall, and they kept over HALF of my deposit with no explanation besides, "this is what we were charged" Their service is terrible after you move in. I would NEVER recommend this complex to anyone.
I've read the two reviews (bad), but I'm not sure what they're talking about...I haven't experienced negative actions on management's part...I'm thinking the bad reviews were sour grapes because the tenants couldn't do whatever they wished (like living in a barracks?)...Well, I for one am GLAD that mgmt. keeps a tight rein on complaints about noise, appearance of property, smoking...If you want to do whatever you want, live on your own island!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Whatever you do, unless you are DESPERATE to save like 50 dollars a month, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! They don't care about you after you sign the lease and move-in!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!! They also lie and tell you you'll be on a wait list for the lower income for an average of 6-8 months, that you just "have to wait till it opens up" - and after OVER 19 months of waiting - it is still NOT available!!! Don't get peoples hopes up that they are going to be saving money when they are interested! I just heard her on the phone explaining the lower rate in the office - I wanted to yell 'they are lying!!!' because even though we definitly qualified with our very low income - we haven't had our rent change from $948 per month to $777!
If you leave a mop on your porch to dry for a couple of hours or your cleaning your house and rest a garbage bag on your front door for ten minutes when you get your shoes on or if your neighbors think that you were making noise but it was your other neighbors or you upstairs neighbors smoke and and the across the hall neighbors think it's you....They stick little love notes saying fix stuff or quit!! I get like two letters a week for stuff I haven't even done!!! These people treat you like your living in barracks!! My lease is not up for four months but I would rather pay the 4,000 left, plus moving costs, plus new home rent and deposit 2,000+ GOOD RIDDANCE HIGHLAND CREEK!!!!!!!!!
