Currently live here with my family loved the apartment when we first moved in and then everything changed for the worse. Misplacing my rent, my husband almost having a nail go into his foot due to a roofing nail from recent roofing work (nail went between his toes thank god!), neighbors peeping into our apartment, the washers and dryers not working, if and when we get a good maintenance person my husband has had to redo a few things they "fixed". We were told oh you'll have a new ac unit for the summer instead we have a reject model from the 80's. Lastly the add on bill that we recently received on our door because the office messed up on the billing. I have been patient and have gone to the office and just seemed to have gotten the brush off, honestly all I would want is an apology and a discount on rent for what has occurred and what I am sure we will continue to go though until our lease is up. For people thinking of moving here don't fall for anything they tell you especially of the so called security that lets homeless people sleep in the laundry rooms. Renter beware thank you have a great day.
I wish I could give negative stars. This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. I'll start with the WORST part being that I didn't get back my $600 deposit. After calling them for 6 months trying to find out where my deposit went (They hardly ever answer the phone) They said that their records showed only a $200 deposit which is absolutely false. I got completely jacked. When I first moved in, they said we could choose an accent wall color. We asked for red, but they never did it. Then in the second week there, we got kicked out of our apartment for a bug bomb that we did not agree to. Someone must have had bed bugs. If you want a good parking spot, you have to pay for it. Otherwise you have to park two blocks away from your apartment. I paid for a parking spot, but whenever other people parked in it, the apartment manager wouldn't do anything about it. What was the point of paying for my own spot if I couldn't even use it? It was also very loud here. People were screaming and blasting music all the time. I was once woken up by kids outside my window sitting in a shopping cart and screaming. The utility bills are OUTRAGEOUS. Even if we hardly used our utilities and weren't home much, we still had to pay about $200 a month cause we have to pay according to what everyone else in the apartment used. If you need maintenance done, you're going to have to wait a long time cause they don't give a damn. There was also a month where I didn't even get my bill to pay rent on time! They don't have anything together here. If you ever need an issue resolved, good luck getting a hold of anyone. The average number of times I had to call the leasing office throughout the day (during business hours) before someone would pick up the phone was about 20 times. Even now I can't get a hold of them to ask for an itemized list of what they're keeping my deposit for, which I haven't received, which is required by law. After it was all over, two months later I call them to ask when I'm getting my deposit back and they told me that I don't get it back because of utilities. WHICH I ALREADY PAID. Do not move here. None of your issues will be taken care of, you'll pay out the ass for utilities, you'll have to leave early in the morning and protect all your belongings for random bug bombs, your internet service won't work well, your parking spots aren't guaranteed, neither is your sleep, nobody in the office gives a damn about you, and you won't get your deposit back. The entire place is a scam. The only thing you won't have to worry about is pet rent. Since they can't keep any information together and won't even remember your face, you can tell them you have a pet and you still won't get charged for it cause they can barely keep all their residents and paperwork in check. So free pets! (Still not worth it, though)
Does anyone else have issues with maintaining a descent temperature in their apartment? During the summer there is no central air system, just an AC that is always on & doesn't blow out cold air. And now that it's getting chilly it is always so hot in our apartment. I've gone to ask about how to turn off the heater and they tell me there is no way. Our electricity bill is so ridiculous because of how we still have the AC still going because the heater stays on all day & night. Also, we can't leave the window open because of all the squirrels and pigeons and lack of window screens.
If only they have "negative stars" as ratings, either way...I moved into Advenir at Lowry expecting the best! However, the only thing that could be considered "best" about this property, is the elementary school that is zoned for this property, Montclair. Other than that, a complete disappointment. From broken promises to lies, Advenir at Lowry is sadly the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Before you even move in the website doesn't accurately list the layouts; you don't really know what apartment you are getting until your move in day. They will even present you with an unclean apartment at move in time. Ours had things broken and dirty; from broken closet doors and a garbage disposal to a balcony covered in pigeon excrement. We even had numerous outlets that weren't at all functional. So instead of a ready for move in apartment, we had to submit work order after work order (approximately 30 work orders) to resolve issues that should have been resolved prior to our move in date. Also, there are tons of bugs, and even after being treated my their pest control (which they charge you monthly for, and don't mention at move in), you will still have bug issues. From bedbugs to roaches, you name it, they have it! Work orders are open for weeks sometimes, and there have even been occasions where they close a work order without doing the work, how awesome is that, not. If you purchase a covered parking spot (which may be necessary if you have a job and want to park, as there are rarely convenient parking spaces) you make have your car towed, I did! Oh and spend over $250 to get it out and the management not even knowing the procedures, and passing the blame on security, who then passes the buck back the management. Just lovely really! Also the internet just works terrible here for some strange reason; I have tried multiple routers, modems etc., and still just terrible; I have seen others with similar issues. So if you work at home, like me, or just want to have decent wifi, please, lower your expectations. The laundry facilities don't work and smell horrible. Also beware of all the pigeons, as they like to hang out on your balcony. ALL of management is horrible and won't help you at all; the ones that are helpful are fired. Please save yourself and move in somewhere else, hopefully this review saves someone.
I currently live here now, and this place is ridiculous!!! whenever you try to call the office they never answer the phone, and when I leave messages no one returns my phone calls for weeks, sometimes never. I had an emergency and I wanted to move into a different apartment an still no call back. their communication skills are horrible!!!!
