DO NOT LIVE HERE. These apartments are terrible! We have lived here for two years, and renewing our lease was a huge mistake on our part. We moved out of a two bedroom into a one bedroom in the middle of the month. We were told by management that since we were moving in the middle of the month, that we wouldn't have to pay a full months rent on the two bedroom. She blatantly lied in front of us to her boss saying that "she never said that" and we wound up having to pay a full months rent on the two bedroom AND a full months rent on the 1 bedroom all in the same month! Ridiculous! Additionally, our water bill is ridiculously high and when we inquired about it, they said it was just the "water company". Bull crap, I think they turn on their water sprinklers on to long, which jacks up our water bill. The kitchens here are so small and hardly hold any storage for food or kitchen supplies and is extremely outdated. We also own a dog and always pick up after him. However, the apartment NEVER refills the doggy stations with poop bags and the maintenance hardly clean out the doggy trashcans, so it's always filled with dirty poop bags and stinks something terrible. The management is completely lazy, and I mean LAZY! We can see the clubhouse from our balcony, and we've called them a couple times to inquire about something. When they didn't answer, we went into the clubhouse and found the people working there in the back room just laughing and we knew they completely ignored our phone call. During the summer, they never open their pool on time. Last summer, they didn't even open their pools until mid June! Please, seriously save your money. Save yourself the hassle and don't bother coming here.
We have been in the apartments for a year now. Since we have been there the apartments have went obtained new management. A lot has improved! Everyone that works there is very friendly. We needed a fix on our door - they had someone out there as soon as possible to fix. The apartment rooms are very spacious - we have a 2 bedroom and the main bedroom is pretty big and the living room has a wood burning fireplace (which is good for this time of year). They also worked with us on getting a good amount for an additional lease - they were very accommodating. I would recommend apt to friends/family.
I believe that even giving this place 1 star is an over statement! This is the worst place I have ever lived and would not wish such a terrible place on anyone. They have cheated me out of money ever since I have moved in, always saying that rent is going up or "that the water company raised its prices 63%". Yes that was a quote! The assistant manager, Edith, lied to my face multiple times about why my water bill was $70 in the month of October and then refused to refund the money. The manager REFUSED to talk to me when I had emailed her, called her and even went in to the office and sat for 15 minutes before anyone would even assist me. They illegally charged me with false accusations of a third party living in the apartment when they knew that this was completely false. Not only do they illegally add false prices to your bill, but they AVOID fixing hazardous lighting fixtures and other hazardous maintenance responsibilities. I had to call and put in a maintenance request for over 2 weeks AND go in to the office on a DAILY basis to get a dangerous light fixture changed in my bathroom. This is not the first time that I have had to make multiple calls for one simple maintenance request!! Also there is a large amount of black mold and scum in the sealant in all of the bathrooms, no matter how hard you scrub it will not come clean, because these apartments were built in the 70's and have had minimum (if any) repairs or replacements in the buildings! In all truth no one wants to live like this and you would be smart to not sign a lease with the scam artists in this apartment complex. It seems like no one in the office truly knows what is going on, they all have a different story for the same question. I CAN NOT believe the unprofessionalism that is displayed here and why it is allowed to continue.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have lived here for four years now, which is probably three years too long. The maintenance takes up to days or months to get any problems fixed. I still have black mold on my walls that I reported months ago. I moved from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom apartment at this complex and all the old problems that needed to be fixed were literally painted over. The management here takes no responsibility for their unprofessional conduct. Lack of communication between the agent and management has cost me $175 in court fees, even though they were told days ahead of the situation. Do not expect management to work with you if financial difficulties fall upon you. I've lived here long enough to finally give up hope that the condition of the apartments, the timeliness of maintenance, or the irresponsibility of complex management would improve. I am not renewing my lease next year. If you feel that it is the YOUR responsibility to make sure that the management of this complex is providing the best customer support and service possible to you, then this is the place for you to live.
I have been a resident at Four Winds since 2009(5 years). My advice: DON'T LIVE HERE. The NEW management staff is unprofessional, rude and inconsiderate. Their office hours are inconvenient, and they are never available to help with any maintenance issues. I have never had any issue before year 2014, all problems comes after the NEW managements. They have taken anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months to have maintenance fix any issues I've had. They make it seem convenient to request maintenance online, but they just cancel it out and send follow up emails to let you rate how it was done (and you're wondering "what did they do???"). They have entered my apartment without notifying me and they made a mess of my apartment - I have pictures to prove this and Amber, the property manager said herself that she "forgot" to tell me - UNACCEPTABLE. On top of that, if you do have issues with them, they never have any accountability for anything. For the first 2 months of this year I was overcharged on rent, and they took their sweet time fixing it. There are 4 or 5 addendums to my lease because they kept forgetting to get all my signatures. They didn't even give me a copy of my lease, I had to storm into the clubhouse and demand it, even though I was told they would provide it to me within the first week of living there. Then, somehow, one of my rent payments mysteriously came back returned, so I called up my bank to get details. They said there was no record of a payment attempting to withdraw from my account. I printed out a copy of my statement and brought it to their office, showing that there were funds in my account the day of the withdrawal. They continued with the "nothing they can do" and "call your bank". As if a balance statement isn't good enough, there's nothing they wanted to do. Just another maneuver to get another $50 dollars out of me. The new management are deceptive, misleading and careless. Unless you want to deal with that, I'd suggest you try another complex. We are not going to renew our lease. I like the location but the service is getting worst!
