At night you could hear rodents scampering in the attic space over head. The cold water was turned off due to a repair was never turned back on even after months of calling. Air vents never cleaned my son had severe respiratory issues due to dirty vents. Constant pipes bursting water leaking in walls. Maintenance never fixed issues rather patched them up very hard to get a hold of. Very cold winters poor windows no installation. Mice became a problem at the end biting holes in the carpet edges between floors. Parking is terrible they give visitor passes even though residents can't get a parking space. Hidden fees all around. Terrible place to live save your time and energy if you are a mother beware your children will be the ones to suffer the most. The conditions are so bad and have been bad for a long time.
This is the absolute WORST place to live. Takes you hours to find parking in the evening, don't bother putting a request for something to be fixed because it takes MONTHS. And the staff is extremely unhelpful. They hang up the phone on residents of they have any sort of complaint. When it snows they tell residents that if they want the street or side walk cleaned that we can do it ourselves then they hang up the phone. Will NOT be renewing our lease
Love living here. It's a great location and close to everything! There is great space in the one bedroom apartment, large open kitchen, and large bedroom. The one negative is the parking. It's impossible after 7 p.m.
Don't live here if you like to park your car at your apartment complex and have maintenance requests handled in a timely manner. They will say they will fix something and promise a date but not actually complete it. Parking is a huge issue and they allow work trucks to park in resident parking spaces.
I have been living at Eaton Square since November of 2014 and have been very pleased up to this point. On move-in, I lost my keys in a U-Haul truck and ended up having to get a locksmith to drill my deadbolt because I couldn't get in touch with 24 hour maintenance. I reported it to the office and the property manager gave me a credit for the $280 after-hours locksmith charge; they put a credit on my account the next day. I have had a few maintenance issues and have always received service the day of or day after I submit a request. I like the area- very accessible to 395, Giant is close by as is Potomac Yard. I work in Old Town and it takes maybe 10 minutes to get there. One side note that makes me somewhat annoyed is that if you get back anytime after 8:30 or so, it is nearly impossible to get a parking spot near your apartment- I usually end up having to park down by the main office. It isn't a huge deal, but worth noting. For the price, I think this place is great. I don't know why people seem to have such problems with mice or insects- I have seen one bug in my apartment since I moved in and they have pre-treated the apartment a couple of times to prevent issues. If you keep things clean, I haven't seen any issues. I used to live at Cityside (another Bainbridge property) and had significantly more issues with insects there. I wish the bathroom had a vent fan in it; to keep it ventilated you need to crack open the window. They are older buildings, so there are a few cosmetic things that could be better, but in my opinion, they aren't big enough to complain about. The only other issue I have is that the water temperature is kind of crazy- the shower pops back and forth between hot and cold, so I usually have to adjust the knobs a few times per shower. Occasionally, I have had scalding hot water come out of nowhere and nearly burned myself. Hot water is VERY hot in this building. Overall, I have no intent of leaving any time soon- I like having the location, it is the right space, a safe neighborhood, has a W/D in unit and is comfortable at a great price!
