If you are a resident of Memphis, TN and you are looking for an apartment, do not, I repeat, DO NOT move into Country Squire Apartments. There has been a leak in my master bathroom since DECEMBER. They came and cut the ceiling out at Christmas and left it exposed for a week but still did not fix the leak before replacing the wet portion of the ceiling. Now, the leak has returned in full force. We reported it last Friday and were asked if we could wait until Monday to have it fixed. Here it is, Monday, and no one has come. When my husband asked, the head of maintenance told him, "I'm at lunch." This is, by far, one of the worst places I have ever lived. They refuse to preform maintenance when needed but want to come and go into your apartment with no notice. They refuse to fix AC units, flip the AC unit's power breakers from the outside whenever they don't want to deal with it, and tell tenants when they are and are not allowed to use the AC's that we pay the bill for. When you complain about it, they even go so far as to blame tenants for them being broken in the first place! I would normally just have a word with the office personnel but the majority of them are no better than the maintenance personnel. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but this needs to be exposed. If this review helps one person find a better place to live then I have done that person a service.
Nothing works. Maintenance staff is sub par. When I moved in nothing worked and it took months before anything was fixed, and even then, those "fixes" lasted 3 months at most. They raised my rent without notice. Nothing is done about crime/the security firm that drives around is a joke. And the landscaping company they've hired to cut grass is terrible. In the two and a half years I've live hear I've had to cut the grass around my back porch every week because they don't even bother to. They completely ignore noise complaints. Ibe witnessed 2 people on 2 different occasions be shot while taking out my trash. My building of 8 units has been broken into 7 times in the last 2 years. They don't allow pitbulls, yet there are 4 pitbulls within 60 yards of me, and through countless tried, nothing has been done about it, even after being attacked myself by one and receiving 23 stitches. Do not move here.
I have been staying in the apartments for over two years. My maintence problems are always fixed in timely manner. Only concerns I have is crime going up in area as well as roof leaks. Office staff is great. For the price in Cordova its worth it.
When I moved in 2 years ago my AC didn't work for almost 2 months until they were able to figure out what was wrong and get it fixed. They were supposed to fix the balcony door which was broken. They showed up there and took out the door, came back one day later with exactly the same door and installed it agin. The don't care about their places and don't maintain them properly. They don't care who lives there as long the $$$ are flowing. There is so much crime going on and reported gun shots at least every other week. If you make suggestion on how to improve they just don't listen and tell you lock yourself up in your apartment and keep the blinds closed like in a prison. So if you have the choice don't move in there.
I lived in this community for three years. The house was really clean. Very nice staffs. So fast after request any help or repairing. Low rental price in compare with the same condition communities. It is located in the Best area with fast access to downtown and UOM because of walnut grove, without any tribble traffic congestion like poplar avenue. Very close to many big stores like, Kroger, Walmart, target, ......
