I HIGHLY recommend AMLI at Lowry Estate! My apartment is beautiful, the amenities are great, the location is terrific, & the entire apartment complex is superbly tended to by AMLI Lowry's outstanding office, maintenance & grounds staff. Each one of AMLI Lowry's office, maintenance & grounds employees are always very professional, considerate, conscientious, & happy to respond to requests as quickly as possible. Having lived in NYC for many years, I know how very important -- and hard it is -- to find apartment staff who are very dedicated to their jobs & are always wonderful to apartment residents.
The facilities look great. The customer service is completely unprofessional, and lack follow through. One unfortunate situation to the next with the front office and staff. Maintenance is great, and very helpful. Would encourage others to look at other facilities, before closing this apartment complex.
Overall this is a very nice property in a good location. Unfortunately the customer service is severely lacking. Anytime that we had issues with our property, the employees were extremely rude and seemed unconcerned. We did not have AC for any of the summer months leading up until our move out and we called to tell them multiple times. We were also charged for a door that we had tried to get them to fix for us (it was not properly hung, but they never sent maintenance to fix it). Almost all of our interactions with the employees were unpleasant and often times they refused to be responsive to any of our questions or needs.
UPDATE 10/14 After going through the events of 10/10, I received a call and a few emails from management apologizing for the disturbance and acknowledging it was a problem they're going to deal with differently in the future. Hopefully this proves true. UPDATE on 10/10 Unfortunately, we hit a major snag today. The apartment above us was having carpet replaced or some major renovation which resulted in INCREDIBLY distracting noise in our unit. Hammers pounding, walls shaking, and work so loud and aggressive that items from our own walls fell off as a result. We were given no warning or alert that this would be happening. Repeated calls to the office weren't answered. It's unfortunate and is a huge scar on what was a great living situation. ------------------------------- So far so good! We moved in back in early November and the experience has been a breeze. There were a few hiccups along the way with remodeling efforts around the property, but they were completed quickly and the improvements are noticeable. The staff is incredibly helpful, reasonable and responsive and the neighborhood is clean and easy to navigate.
There is absolutely NOTHING luxury about AMLI at Lowry. This was the worst living situation I have ever been in. Nothing ever worked right. We had someone in the townhouse almost every week to fix something. There was a dead animal in the attic that had chewed through wires and we were not able to get tv or internet upstairs and AMLI refused to admit there was a problem for almost 3 months. It was freezing downstairs due to poor insulation and too hot upstairs. carpets were dirty upon move in. toilets did not flush right.Black gook coming up from sinks that took them 5 times to finally get a deep cleaning on the pipes. garbage disposal and faucets needed to be replaced. Microwave was venting form inside. There is a ton more. On move out I cleaned and plugged every hole and have pictures to prove it. They charged me for new carpet and to clean the place (even though it was clean and they have to clean it for next person) I had the carpet cleaned 4 times n the 6 months I was there. What a SCAM they run. Every single family I knew that lived there was having the same horrible experience. I have no idea who these other people are that had "good" experiences.
