I would not move in Todd Village, apartments. They keep raising the rent every single year, I finally had to move out. who the hell wants to pay nearly $1000.00 for a one bedroom?
Complaint for having a poster on the wall. Also for having grills out, yet everyone else has one. There are rats by the kids main park.
My apt was broken into wile I was at work. The when custodian came to fix the door he told me not to store anything of value in these apartments.
Not as pricey as other places. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Apts are clean, spacious, and well kept. Much nicer when you have a wood burning fireplace and a washer/dryer in your unit. Complex has a movie rental program for eceryone living there. Only one parking space per unit though and not to many visitor parking for a second vehicle or for guests. Close to several bus stops.
Our apartment was huge for the price we paid, lots of closets and storage area. But the downfall is the qulaity of the apartment complex itself. We experienced problems at move in with our toilets. The maintance crew were very helpful when a work order was needed. The floor squeeked very badly everytime we walked down the hall, or in the living room. The apartment had a musty mold smell to it that never went away for a year, even with air fresheners etc. The community is very diverse, and to be honest, the people who live there are not of the highest quality. Yelling, Mexican music, cigaret smoking, kids all over. The parking was horrible, there were times we parked blocks away and walked in the dark to our apartment: very unsafe. Parking spaces would be full of crappy cars that sometimes didn't move for days. The insulation of our apartment was bad, our heating bill in the fall and winter skyrocketed! In the summer, the apt was unbearably hot. My roommate and I had an experience with one of the other tenants at the pool over the summer. This man made us feel very uneasy. He seemed to be on drugs. He stared at us and tried to keep talking to us when we clearly were not interested in having anything to do with him. We never went to the pool again. Aside from the pool experience, I ran into him at the mailbox a couple times and felt extremely uncomfortable. When you are afraid to leave your apartment, that is a sign you don't live in a good place. Overall I would highly NOT reccomend living here due to the poor quality of apartment, and other tenants. But I will give props to the staff, as they were very nice and helpful over the year we spent at Todd Village.
