I wanted to wait a year before I wrote a review. My boyfriend and I just resigned the lease for the 2nd year. Hampden Heights is an absolutely wonderful place to live. As much as I'm disappointed that we couldn't rent a house because of the ridiculous pricing in Denver, I'm still very happy that we get to live in this apartment complex as our alternative. Both Vanessa's are wonderful, especially Vanessa with the glasses. She is always so cheerful and kind to everyone. Stephanie is also very nice and helpful too. Maintenance is great and fixes everything in a timely matter. The grounds are usually very clean. The complex is centrally located to everything- Walmart, King Soopers, Target, Whole Foods, 24 hours, two movie Theatre's etc. This is a very dog friendly place, there is even a super cute dog park. Staff even gives our pup treats when we go to the office to pick up packages. The neighborhood is very safe and for the most part quiet. My only complaints would have to be 1) the parking situation. I just don't believe in paying for parking and not having an assigned spot near your apartment. I've talked with other tenants and some have no complaints about it, it really just depends where your apartment is located at. We are located near the front and parking spots are usually always gone by the time I come home from work 2) The laundry facility floors are usually disgusting and machines go out constantly. 3) The entrance during winter is horrible. I've seen plenty of cars get stuck and it takes a while for it to get cleared out. There is another side entrance that is much easier to use. Overall my boyfriend, pup and I are very happy to live here. I definitely recommend it.
Very nice community. Well maintained grounds, and all the amenities are as nice as they appear in the listings. The apartments are nice, and I havent had any issues. I did hace a pipe burst in my bathroom, but the staff handled very well. The staff are all really nice, but the management company is extremely inflexible. You can't split your rent payments if you had trouble that month, if your late by more then 3 days it's an instant $50 fine, and so on. But if your a good tenant, youll have absolutely no problems. As long as you don't give them reason they stay out of your hair. I also really like that they give you a straight price, no daily adjusting rents and nonsense like that. Overall a pretty nice place to live.
I just applied for an apartment here as I was trying to move from another apartment complex I live in Denver, and after making me sign papers and a check for $300 for all the fees, I received a call from their office telling me I was denied because "I have no credit", those were her words, very professional (not)! So they don't care if you have a great rental history, or if you make good money at work like I do, but yet they go by a credit score, which by the way was not even correct, since I had more then what I was told by the woman on the phone, but I do have some issues due to a delinquency for medical bills, and it did affect my score unfortunately. When I was signing the application the woman said to me that they don't even bother to check your previous rental history, which to me would be the most important thing to check, besides your criminal background. So long story short, they will wait for a person with perfect credit score to rent their overpriced apartment with outdated appliances, seriously outdated, while my original apartment complex has already renewed my lease since they like my money that I pay on time every month regardless of my credit score. Oh and by the way, the woman was so professional that not even once she said "sorry", and yet all she cared was for me to swing by to pay them the $35 application fee, since I wasted their time,lol.....the complex is just ok, nothing that fancy as they pretend to be, and the management is just pathetic in my opinion!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The maintenance always comes right away even for the small things. The workout room, laundry rooms, etc are always maintained and in good shape. The neighborhood is nice, I have never had any issues.
Vanessa was great! She was so helpful and knowledgeable about her property. She had great customer service. Although we're not tenants, we went in to inquire and she definitely left a good impression.
