I am very happy here. I moved in on Thanksgiving weekend of 2011. Since Greystar took over, the property has steadily improved, with lots of touch up work. Replacing the volleyball court with a dog park was an excellent move. Great service, great staff.
I've only lived here for a month now and already would not move into it again if given a second chance. The complex itself is fine. It's the management. I obviously have renters insurance, and have called my bank multiple times to have them fax over the paperwork. Each time though they say that it's not specific enough to their needs. Which is ridiculous, because our policy states that all family members living in the apartment are covered. It has been one big annoying mess with multiple emails and letters from the complex to me and my having to call my bank every time to get things faxed over. I have never had this problem with any other property that I have rented with. I do not recommend this place.
I lived here before and never had a single problem. Maintenance was quick. Close to 225 i25 parker, everything! I am actually moving BACK into them today and am very excited to be back somewhere comfortable, my last place was terrible. They got me into an apartment last minute, we were originally going to get a one bedroom w/ them as thats all they had available at such short notice.... but they managed to find us a 2 bedroom asap and get us in there asap! It was amazing. Thanks Hampden Heights staff for making it an easy move back!
I moved here a little over 2 years ago and am completely happy. The main reasons I chose Hampden Heights were location next to public transportation, cuteness of balconies, and the pool. The cost is fair and comparable to properties with the same amenities. In the first year or so the property's management company changed to Greystar and has improved. They seem to care about the tenants and service is simply better. The two ladies at the front desk, Victoria and Vanessa, are super friendly, and never act like you are a nuisances (which I'm sure I am at times, because I come in right as they are about to close to pick up packages). The maintenance staff as improved greatly! Before the switch, maintenance people would leave a huge mess inside or outside of the apartment. Now things get fixed very quickly and they are tidy. One instance where management really went out of their way was around the holidays. The staff (Victoria and Vanessa) wanted to make sure everyone received their packages while their office was closed, so they called everyone who had a package in the office. If the person didn't come and pick them up, they went around door to door to make sure everyone had their gifts! I've never lived anywhere that offered this kind of service. As for the apartment itself. I've never had any major issues, parking is easy, neighborhood is quiet, and people are friendly. Side note: I did read some of the other reviews. I've resigned a lease twice and have never had any outlandish price jumps or been pressured into extra fees. Typically when you rent you do have to pay extra for parking, any upgrades you want, utilities, and rent does increase each year.
Been living here for about 5 months now with my girlfriend and I don't really have anything negative to say. Parking is always available, maintenance issues a have been solved within 48 hours, neighbors are so quiet you don't even know they exist. Vanessa and Victoria at the front desk are great to work with and have made living here that much easier. I'd recommend living here to others.
