There are mice crawling under the first floor patios, leaks all over the underground garage, and the cabinets and appliances are outdated and not energy efficient. Within the first six months of renting, our dishwasher, freezer, washer, shower, and patio door all needed to be fixed. Do not be fooled by the rent price - that does NOT include utilities; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THEM. There is mold in my second bathroom and the toilet doesn't flush right, so we don't even use it! Expect to pay at least $1,300 a month for a two bedroom. The pool and locker areas smell like smoke, the cops are here all the time, and there are kids running in the street constantly. My neighbors above me stuff three kids in a two bedroom apartment and it sounds like elephants running around on my ceiling. It is NOT a quiet complex. I have never had a more negative experience in an apartment. ALSO - they recently were bought and underwent new management and gave residents ONE DAYS NOTICE for the change. They replaced almost the previous, friendly office staff. Oh, did I mention MICE UNDER PATIOS? This place is absolutely disgusting and I hope it is condemned. I cannot believe how ridiculously overpriced it is too. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
Terrible complex and money hungry owners. Apartments are very outdated and not worth the rent price.
My husband and I lived here for a year and really loved it. The apartments themselves are great, maintenance was always pretty prompt, management was fine, the neighbors were respectful and mostly quiet (and supervised their kids really well!) It may not be the cheapest apartment you can find but I really recommend it.
Applied, marked that I had a felony 12 years ago. They still ran the background check and took my $90. The felony was a DWI, nobody was hurt. I have no person on person crimes. You would think that they would at least review the application before processing it.
These apartments are definitely not a bang for your buck. I think they could do a lot better! The owners of Lamar Properties are money hungry, they could care less about the renters. At Fountain Place in Eden Prairie it's a rip off. The apartments are over priced and sure there are a lot amenities but you have to pay. You can only use the indoor pool, fitness room etc during office hours otherwise you have to pay like $100 for a special key. The complex have underground parking but you also have to pay additional a month to get s stall. Appliances are old and very loud. This has not been the best experience, I am disappointed and would not recommend Fountain Place.
