Good Location that's it, the office people are awful , which makes my experience to hate it, I payed on time to 2 years , one time I was late one day cuz a vacation I got charged $100. The Pool is tiny and cold , so don't believe the pictures , im waiting to my lease to be over so I can move out
The place is actually not bad but dealing with the people in the office is a nightmare , which makes the whole thing a complete disaster. We stayed here for little less than one year and upon renewal time they were asking us more than what they would charge new people moving in. Basically they want to get as much as possible out of you. If you show them their own ad for the lower price, they will say its not the same unit blah blah blah. Absolutely 0 loyalty towards their resident is not something i understand and can accept.
I lost my job in Mars 2009 during the recession , the lease ended on July 2009 , being Canadian I had 10 days to leave the US . I informed the management about my situation and tried to find a compromise : Sub Lease , pay half of the remaining .... but they were very rude , I had to pay 03 months of rent , plus they charged me for the painting , moving fees,, carpet claining the apartment was very clean and no painting was needed, I cleaned the carpet in order to save money but the management needed money and a lot of money and don't care about the situation of people, I had 2 kids and a non working wife. I strongly not recommend Archstone Mpumtain View
The location is nice indeed but... We've been renting this place for 5 years now and have been suffering from either really loud or just crazy neighbors. For the last couple of years our upstairs neighbor is simply driving us nuts. She's a mentally ill person who looks like a homeless person and management doesn't do anything to fix this situation. This person brings shopping carts full of empty bottles and cans and the manager tells me that we need to respect such a hobby because she's helping to clean our planet from garbage. She flooded our apartment several times, she's moving furniture and yelling every single morning at 5am, she's watering her flower garden that she maintains on the balcony and flooding our patio, she keeps the door open all the time with some of her belongings scattered around. It's just unbearable and no action is done by the management. At the same time, they know how to raise prices and wouldn't even negotiate a price for having such a wonderful neighbor... If you can avoid renting here, totally do it.
