Honestly hate this place now. Lived here not even 6 months 1. pool is NEVER cleaned, it's always disgusting. 2. the AC unit in our ceiling still leaked after the repair man supposedly "fixed" it. 3. the complex recently had the roads "re-paved", and then charged the residents for it. 4. whenever guests tried to use the gate keypad, it always said "line in use" and they were unable to enter. 5. last rent payment for some reason was denied, and management waited 3 days to even NOTIFY us, and gave us a notice saying we had 3 days to pay rent ON TOP of the late fees we were unaware of, or they would evict us. When they hand-delivered the notice, was told "oh i saw your car in the parking lot, so i knew you were home, so i didn't come in" UHM, WTF. you didn't come in because you knew i was home??? so if i weren't home.....??? THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. ALL OF MANAGEMENT IS RUDE AND UNAPPROACHABLE. The place and apartments seem very worth it, but seriously, they will try to charge you for absolutely everything, it's absolutely ridiculous.
I have been blessed from move in day! I have lived at Hidden Lake for the past 3 years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The team at Hidden Lake is exceptional and have taken care of me as if we were family. They treat all residents with a welcoming, kind & professional spirit. I do not ever have any needs that are not taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and enjoy long walks with my dog. They even keep treats for our pets in the Clubhouse. I stop by and enjoy refreshments as well. The residents are friendly and make it feel more like a community, not an apartment environment. The location is great, we are close to all shopping and major highways. Living here is the best decision you will make today!
I have been living at Hidden Lake Apartments for nine years. In all that time I have found it to be a great place to live. The grounds are keep in great condition and if you do have a problem with something all you need to do is call in to the office and they will have someone there in a very short time. One year on Thanksgiving the night before our A/C went out. We were having family for dinner and this is Texas! We called the office and they had one of the maintenance men come over and two hours later we had A/C again. The employees in the office will go out of their way to help you with whatever you need. We find that the noise level in our apartment is basically zero. I like the pool and the pool here is great! To finish I would say to anyone single, married with or without children that Hidden Lake is a GREAT place to live!
Going on 3 years at Hidden Lake (HL) and I have loved living here since day one. The HL location is so convenient and the property is hidden away and feels almost like I am living in the country. My apartment is next to a green belt and is especially peaceful and serene. I have referred 3 other friends to the complex in my time here because I enjoy the property that much. The complex is beautiful and the pool and other amenities are just awesome! The Executive and Property maintenance staff are all very kind, attentive and responsive to any needs that a resident may have. Thank you Jennifer, Amy, Michael and all of the incredible staff that make my living at HL a wonderful "home" experience.
My husband and I moved into Hidden Lake as our first home together right after our wedding. It has been the best place to call home during such a new time for us. It's quiet and peaceful, and I (being a cautious young woman) always feel safe. The apartment was very clean when we moved in. I work in real estate and happen to know the definition of a home that is "made ready" to move into- they were not going to get away with anything sub par. I was pleasantly surprised. All of our neighbors keep to themselves. In fact, the only reason I even know what my neighbors look like is if I see them walking their dogs (the apartment complex is very pet friendly). To address some of the previous comments, I need to say that I have never seen a towing truck in the complex after my 10 months of living here. Parking is a little hard after 10pm on a weekend because most people are already home and I get the last lonely spot one building over from mine. Getting packages can be difficult. I work the same hours that the office is open, and can't ever get in to pick up my packages (if they don't fit in the mailbox, they go to the office). However, this is true with ANY complex. I send my important packages to a friend's house now, if I can't wait until a weekend to pick them up at the office. No big deal. Regarding location- it does take a while to get on 1604 from the complex. You go through 2 (not 3) lights before hitting an on-ramp. Welcome to the city, we have traffic here. In my opinion, the 2 lights on the frontage road are far better than the multiple lights you encounter when living down Bandera and fighting the funnel of traffic there every morning. I encourage you to check out the location before signing a contract, as I would with any real estate transaction. Parking, office hours and location are out of the control of the people who work at Hidden Lake, so I will get back to the things which are unique to this complex only. It is beautiful, quiet, safe, the community is friendly, and the office staff are super nice and do their best to answer all phone calls and emails right away (yes, they are very busy) to help you with any problems. Maintenance is handled promptly and correctly, which is hard to come by in apartments. I felt like I was living in a high class complex without breaking the bank. We will miss our first home when we leave, but are onward to bigger and better things (like buying a house)! PS: Carol, the reviewer below me, is awesome. If you move here, find her! She's basically the complex "mom" and has the cutest pug ever.
