My complaints are similar to the ones listed below. The apartment itself is very cheap for what you're paying. There is no cleaning the walls because the paint will literally wash off. And the appliances are dated. The parking is horrendous. Most nights my husband and I have to park in visitor parking because of the inadequate parking spaces. And most of the time, I don't feel safe walking from my car to my apartment, the parking lot is under lit. And most importantly, the staff is the worst I've ever worked with. Not only are they rude but if they mess up, on more than one instance, they don't take responsibility, bully you and then avoid emails and phone calls. My husband is in the Navy and we changed stations a month ago and we're still dealing with their mess ups unfortunately.
I stayed here with my sister, she is in he Navy and has a 2nd floor apt. The clubhouse boast some nice amenities as far as complex style living goes. We used the fitness room on one of the days I was there from Savannah, when on the way through the clubhouse I took note of the laundry facility which was very clean and up to date with machines and decor. There was also a billiards room office area and bar if one needed. The pool was closed due to it being off season, but I'm sure come warmer weather it will be pristine. The only thing I have to complain about is the second floor trek with groceries, let's have a moment of silence for those that are on the 3rd floor.
St. James has been the most pleasant living experience I have had in my adult life. All of my neighbors the past 2.5 years have been wonderful; the grounds are always pristine and the front office staff are always so accommodating. They are like family; always so kind and making sure that every resident's needs are taken care of. I know personally, they have gone above and beyond for me and have assisted me in any way that they can. Connie and Lindsey are extremely sweet and will go above and beyond to make sure that you chose not only the best apartment, but a place to call home. Between the pool parties, various holiday celebrations and daily baked cookies; these ladies truly have one of the best and most well maintained properties around town.
The entire staff there were incredibly nice and very helpful! Always ready to work with you when it comes to any issue that may arise. They were especially helpful to me and my wife when she had gotten her orders and had to move. A great place especially if you're in the Navy! Front desk staff there are probably the best part, very charming and cheerful ladies who truly want you to feel at home!
Perfectly nice expensive apartments where you can pay to have to office staff tell you they can't do anything about the nuisance barking upstairs when a visitor brings their dog with them for a week.
