Nice location, and wonderful staff but....ants, Hornets, SPIDERS, a super high electricity bill due to improper insulation, mold, and people who don't pick up after their dogs (even though management installed doggie bag stations at multiple places throughout the complex) I couldn't stand living here for another day. We have literally been counting the days left on our lease. I CANNOT stress the ant and spider problem enough. We have had ants since the day we moved in. They come spray, the next day the ants are back. It got so bad that we had to quit buying food the last 3 months we lived there because the ants would completely infest the apartment, even though we sealed and contained the food. Another huge problem is the parking directly under the apartment. Every morning you had to fight through the cobwebs only to find your car completely covered in spiders. Seriously covered. Almost on a daily basis you would open your front door to a spiderweb and its inhabitants to greet you. I will however say everyone in the office has been wonderful and very helpful. I recommend them highly, and if they ran a newer apartment it would be highly successful.
There have been little things here and there in 3 years, but all and all, at 34, these are my favorite apartments I've ever lived in. It's awesome living on the water, and even if they're not perfect here (who is), at least they usually try! I think most would be hard pressed to find a better combination for the price and area.
I miss HIDDEN LAKES so much. That was the only place that could ever make me smile and laugh. Although there not here with me any more I will never stop loving another those beautiful units for the rest of my life. I miss you HIDDEN LAKES. I hope and pray that I can live there again someday. I miss you and love you HIDDEN LAKES.
The management is very illegal, they like to rent apartments infested with roaches and ants, and the management likes to still the rent money, even thought they know that is very illegal of them to rent infested apartments with roaches and ants. I am moving out of my apartment at Hidden Lakes because my apartment is infested with roaches, and that, I berely moved to my apartment at Hidden Lakes with my 2 kids.
i have lived here for a year now and am very satisfied. the staff (2-3/4) are very helpful and will take care of your needs even after you sign your lease (1 not so much) maintenance is HANDS DOWN the absolute best. the guys are respectful, on time, thorough and quick! if you have an emergency they are there within 20 mins (most don't even live on the property) the property is very pet friendly and have the most reasonable pet fees in the area, they even enforce dogs on a leash, which i love. pet deposit is like 300 and 150 is non refundable, monthly pet rent of 10 bucks. you also get an accent wall in your apartment which is awesome b/c it feels more like home then the ugly standard color. i love the updated appliances, washer and dryer come w/ apartment which is great if you don't want to invest. the one bedrooms have HUGE baths but thats the only up side, the bathroom is tiny and theres barely any shelf space, i use mine to shower and do my business so it doesn't bother me. the outdoor storage is a decent size, they are very particular on what can be left out there (thats a positive to me b/c i personally wouldn't like to see someone else's junk) there is a lake which attracts ducks, WARNING: BIRDS HAVE WATERY POOP, its everywhere but theres nothing that anyone can do, i personally don't mind. i love that there are ducks, it adds to the waterfront look. parking most of the time is fairly easy unless you live in a more cluttered unit and even then you will find a spot across from your apartment. I signed for an other year and upgraded into a 2 bedroom. the second bedroom is great for a small baby/ child or 1 teenager. its no bigger then the smallest bedroom in a house, all two bedrooms come with two baths (again not a lot of shelf space, and no where to keep extra towels) the kitchen in plan C is very spacious, the patio is very large. we went from a second floor to a first floor... the second floor gets hotter then the first and the stairs are a drag! but on the first floor you will hear your neighbors walking, when they shower or use the bathroom ( a little annoying but thats anywhere) the pools are all kept up with and very pretty, however when summer comes around so do all the free loaders, they play on the beach volleyball and trash it (i feel bad for the maids and maintenance who have to clean up after them) they do take up your parking spaces and occasionally get too rowdy, a lot of them will stay late and drink or during the day do the same with children around. the front office did nothing during the summer i lived across from the pool, one member actually encouraged it. the gym is limited but still a nice feature to have. the prices are good for waterfront, they will vary, one week a 2 bedroom could be 950 and other week they could be 800 (the more units available the cheaper) i will gladly pay 820 for my apartment b/c there has been no crime in the year that i have lived here, kids don't roam the streets and most that live here have just started their careers or are pursuing their degrees. most people stay to themselves, in the last unit i lived in my neighbors always looked out for us (on the first day of move in our neighbors helped get everything in) yes it is more pricey then anything on el camino or el dorado but you really do get your monies worth, they are located within 30 minutes or less from everything (with no traffic) I normally don't do reviews on anything but i felt like i needed to b/c overall it has been a good year with hidden lakes. if you took the time to read what i had to say i hope it helps!
