Lived there for 2 years. Staff were pretty friendly but were changed pretty frequently. Overall decent place. Not too bad for a college apartment.

we've had giant roaches, scorpions, a moth infestation, and silverfishes. I've seen my drunk neighbors urinate in the parking lot twice in the last month. stay away.

I searched all over San Marcos trying to find a new place to live and it was suggested to me by a friend that I checked out The Timbers. My decision was between a property off of LBJ and here ad I have to say I am so happy I decided to stay here. As someone new to this area of TX I have to say that the office & maintenance staff have become like my second family. Whenever I voice a problem it is promptly taken care of. I love rolling out of the bed and walking down the hill, i just hate walking back up it!!! It is so peaceful up here and I love my wood floors that will make for an easy clean up come move out time. It's sad there only seems to be people complaining on here and not reviews of people who aren't just upset because they don't like policies or didn't get their way.
I know everything has worked out for me, and I highly recommend anyone wanting to find a cozy place close to campus stop by and judge The Timbers yourself.

I love the Property
I love the Convenience
I love the Staff
I love my Apartment The Timbers might not be the most modernized place but they are where it counts. I have all new stainless steel kitchen appliances, ceiling fans in all rooms, and a washer and dryer in my apartment I don't have to gather quarters and I don't have to leave to wash clothes. It is quiet, I sleep when I want to I don't have to deal with a lot of party noise. The staff is friendly and work with people they let me make payment arrangements for the deposit to get my dog instead of making me pay all at once. I always have somewhere to park and it is right across the street from campus. I love it here.

I have lived here for 2 years & I don't have many complaints. The office staff have always been pleasant to me (they also LOVE my dog), the maintenance guys always showed up reasonably quickly after I would put in a work order & we're always courteous. One word of caution, while the upstairs apartments may have a vaulted ceiling, they also have wall-to-wall carpet. I was looking for hardwood instead because my fiance has bad allergies & carpet traps dust & irritates him terribly. The downstairs apartments do have this feature, except in the bedroom (which I can handle). On the downside, this apartment complex does not have a whole lot of amenities. The "gym" consists of maybe 5 pieces of equipment & closes when the office closes. It is NOT air conditioned, even in the heat of summer. There is not a whole lot of storage in the one bedroom apartment but I do not know about the rest of the apartments.
