Outstanding apartments with decent amenities and a good location. On the downside, they are a bit pricey, and you can't smoke on the ground whatsoever
My car was vandalized and a month latermy car was hit....no cameras in the garage so both times I had to come out of pocket. I hate leaving 1 star reviews because I did like the front desk folks, the apartment was fine, a little small for a 2 bed, and it was very quiet. I think the kicker was the $650 bill we received for "pet damage". We had to give them a non-refundable deposit for the pet anyway. Our dog peed in two spots and they opted to replace the entire carpet rather than clean them eventhough the carpet was less than two years old.
Love this building. Not sure why people are icing it negative reviews. Daniel, Michael and the rest of the front door staff are rock stars. And the maintenance staff is top notch.
We are moving into this building next month, Feb 1st. I've read a lot of the reviews from people and I'm surprised at some of them. For instance, one person complained about how they were charged a month-to-month rate for extending their lease. That is normal; everywhere I've lived has, on their renewal forms, indicated that staying past the lease date without signing a NEW 12 month lease would result in a month-to-month rate. I also read reviews saying the front desk staff is dour and gloomy. The person I met at the front desk was hilarious, open, and friendly, though she scared me when she first told me this wasn't 900 S. Clark. I guess the look on my face was worth it for her. Likewise, Megan (not sure if that was correct spelling) was charming and pleasant, a complete contrast to the agent at the other building we viewed two blocks away (Astoria Tower). There are a lot of things to be excited about: they have their own dog run & obstacle course, loft-finished apartments, a rooftop deck offering 24-floor views of the city, floor to ceiling windows, and the usual business/study amenities most buildings have. The cons: no pool, no spa, and the dog floors are oddly situated in the building making it difficult at times to find an apartment that "has it all". I have yet to experience the management and/or maintenance but I won't hold out high hopes for perfection. I have yet to see that from any apartment building I have lived in. I'll update or re-review again once we've had some time in our new home.
I am a current resident who is moving out-of-state for a job, but wanted to write a review. The new building manager Adrian has been fantastic. He is very honest and spends time to listen to all concerns then follows through to appropriately address issues. I have nothing but great things to say about him. The building itself is well maintained and very new. It is close to multiple avenues for public transport and if you have a car its near two major highways. These things combined make commuting to work and leaving the city extremely convenient. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to live downtown in a comfortable, convenient property that is well maintained.
