This is literally the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. When we moved in, it was relatively quiet and peaceful. Then, suddenly every day at all hours, all these ghetto people started playing music with bass so loudly outside that I can hear it over my television! If your bedroom is next to the stairs, you will get awoken any time someone goes up the stairs in the middle of the night. If you're in your livingroom, it sounds like a herd of elephants coming down the stairwell. If you live near the main road of 72, you will be bombarded with the noise of motorcycles and big-rig trucks, and it's even more unbearable with the glass door open. The next-door neighbors were so inconsiderate and always played loud music which we could also hear over the t.v. in the living room. When the a.c. broke in the heat of June, it took them A WEEK to get someone to repair it. This place fools you because the grounds are kept nicely, but when the trashy people start coming out of their apartments, it's a nightmare!
Please do yourselves a favor and do not move here. Completely over priced. The person who manages the property by the name James is rude and very unprofessional. Came into my apartment while I was in the shower without notice, they threaten to take you to court for things you're unaware of. Maintanance sucks, you have to call over and over again before they actually come out. Save your money and move else where! Horrible staff, management, horrible place all in all!
DO NOT MOVE HERE! Amerigas will take all your money during the winter. When I first moved here my bill was no more than 90 during the winter. What changed? I believe the upgrades they attempted to do to the outside of the buildings. Last year they put in all new windows in the middle of October. Well these new windows are very drafty. The blinds move when the wind blows. You feel the wind blowing through the electric socket. To go from an 90 dollar a month bill to 260 bill for one month is ridiculous. Amerigas they use for heat, hot water, cooking gas and the dryer. This year they replaced the balcony sliding glass doors also done in October or November it was a cold day. Still very drafty blinds moving when your not touching them. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment. My January bill for Amerigas this year is 193. My bill due in February is 293. Yes that's for one month. The appliances are all very old. Stove is not even self cleaning. I am not renewing my lease here. I advise anyone not to move here. My main reason for leaving is Amerigas. Management does not care that because the windows and balcony sliding glass doors were not installed properly that it is costing the residents more money in heating bills. I also read that new siding was installed and that was not done correctly either to prevent all the cold air from coming in. Dog crap is all over the place on the property. I have not had any issues with crime the 2 years I have been here. My neighbors are good people. Where I am it's pretty quiet. They always want to enter your apartment even when your not home. Or when you are and your sleep and just come in anyway and make no announcement. You wake up to strangers in your apartment.
Classic bait and switch. They won't actually let you see an apartment before renting it, only the model. Once you've signed the lease it's too late. You will have no end of maintenance problems. Do yourself a favor and AVOID this place. It's cheaper than surrounding apartment complexes for a reason.
Fox Run seemed like a good fit for me and a friend of mine for a cheap temporary place. However the cost must not go into preparing your apartment or responding to any tenants once they are in a unit. I have had a heating system that is unable to work with the thermostat installed, and thus can only be turned on and off manually. So your options at night are leave it on, and have it run all night and wake up in a very hot apartment. Or leave it off and wake up in an ice box. With the first choice my power bill has gone up drastically, and it has been almost a month and nothing has been done to fix the issue or compensate my increased power costs due to Fox Run's inability to respond. It must be too long of a walk in all the snow to keep their properties up to par. The people aren't bad most mind themselves, but the staff has been difficult to work with ever since signing the lease. Every time I do get a technician to the apartment (toilet was not working when I moved in, the first thermostat didn't work, door bell didn't work, sliding glass door would get stuck and screech when moving in, our dryer did not have the blow out vent hooked up when we moved in, we have had two outlets fail, the bathroom fan doesn't work) they have resolved every issue except the bathroom fan, in a polite and courteous manner. However, getting a technician out to the apartment is an excruciatingly difficult process and will cost you time and money. Had to use laundromat when dryer wasn't hooked up for two weeks. Time and money. Fox Run has no consideration for either in regards to it's tenants from what I have seen.
