The company is a rip off, boarder line scam. I did an application in mid September 2015 to begin renting in mid November. I was told there was a move in special for $799 with approved credit and $899 without. What I wasn't told when I paid the $85 application fee and $100 holding fee both non-refundable, is your expected to sign a waiver of your deposit, which would be the balance left from the pro rated rent from the $799 or $899 "move in special", for me it would have been $308 and $408 without approved credit. Regardless of the condition of the apartment at move out, they want you to waive your rights to the deposit in order to move in or pay a full months rent for deposit. This information is not disclosed up front and they wait until you come in to sign your lease and pick you keys to move in. Where is the special?? In any other apartment complex with good credit you would pay any where from $250-$500 deposit and you pro rated rent. THAT'S NOT A SPECIAL IS A SCAM! It's a scam because it's not disclosed up front before you pay $185...AND IT'S DELIBERATE! If you like giving away your hard earned money, go ahead and move in, I didn't! Then to boot after waiting almost 30 minutes to sign the least and attempting to find someone to assist me, the lady in the office has the audacity to TELL me to have a seat, the individual who is helping me is on the property after I made an appointment for the time I came in. If they treat you like crap before you move in, I can imagine how it is afterwards...
Metroplace is alright. Rate is a little too high and smaller than my old apartment. The ceiling is too thin. The people above me are too loud for my taste. But all in all, its a nice place to live. I like it.
worst place i've ever lived. apartment is covered literally covered with roaches and bed bugs. when i moved in to the apartment i notified the office about these issues and not once did they send out pest control. i literally had to have my 4 yr old stay with my sister just so he wouldnt get bitten up. the maintenance team sucks i was in the apartment for 3 months without ac til mold started to come out the ac unit and i had to report them to the city. the management team if you want to call the that, they dont know shit especially Chrystal who claims to be the property manager. this was an overall terrible experience. i hope all the apartments in orlando aren't like this shit hole. if i didnt have to i wouldnt even give them a star.
Metroplace is a nice place to live, the price is affordable and the staff is great. I don't have any complaints. They keep the grounds clean and address my work orders in a timely matter.
My worst experience so far. The complex is Dirty and plenty of roaches. Even if they used to send me the pest control, it did not help reduce the number of roaches. Their maintenance workers are rude one of them gave a finger to my husband because he taught that he was a visitor not a tenant. The crime rate is very high. You will see always the police and gun shooting is very common. There, our car tag was stolen and we got in trouble. We had to answer police questions and visit the police office many times. And the last one is that they have refused to give us back our $400 deposit. They pretended that because we moved in in a special we do not have the right to get the deposit. So their special is just a scam to take your deposit be aware and read your lease carefully before you sign it. They will tell you your deposit is refundable but they will make you sign a lease saying it is not. After you complain it will be your fault. It is you who misunderstood there leasing assistant. However all tenets won’t accept to pay a nonrefundable $400 if they were told so.
