I'm a current resident at Bryan Woods and can't wait for my contract to be done and over with so I can move out. I'm very seriously considering opting out and paying early severance fees just to get away from this apartment complex. There are always maintenance issues needing attention. Things that are wrong: 1. Our refrigerator up and died on us for no reason spoiling countless dollars worth of food. 2. We had black mold growing in one of our cabinets which took months before they actually came out to get rid of it. 3. Our HVAC unit broke twice. 4. Half the cabinets in our kitchen are warped/structurally unstable. 5. Our dishwasher worked for the first week, now it's just dead. 6. The sewage backs up at least once a month. 7. Our oven is so old I'm scared to use it in worry that I'll burn the place to the ground. If you're considering these apartments I would tell you to turn around and run the other direction, as soon as my contract is up I'm leaving and hopefully this place goes out of business so that nobody else has to deal with all these problems either.
I lived there for over two years and found conditions to be ever decreasing. It seems none of the rent is reinvested into the upkeep of the property. Through my experience, I always found the hallways and stairwells to be nasty with trash, etc. I feel the apartments themselves are very dated and rundown for the rent they charge. But my main objection is regarding the management. I feel it was bad and seems to have somehow gotten worse within the last 6 months. In my opinion, I found them to lie, brush off your concerns, and never take accountability for their actions. Based soley on my expeiriences, I would strongly recommend against it unless you are on a serious budget or perhaps have no standards for where you live.
