We love it at Kenyon Square! Other places you'd pay this money, and you'd have about half the space. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. There are a lot of "community" get-togethers that residents can really appreciate. The gym is always kept nice, the pool area is wonderful, the top decks are a plus and you're allowed to have pets if you want! The only reason I am giving Kenyon Square 4/5 stars is because of the noise. It's not all the time, but our neighbors above us CONSTANTLY fight and it sounds like they're dropping bowling balls for at least a half hour at night. I'm not sure how something like that can be fixed.. But it's bad when it happens. However, like I had mentioned, we don't hear the noise all the time.
Kenyon Square sublet's their utilitis so be aware that you will be paying for your, as well as everyone else's electricity. I would recommend this place if you are looking to live in a dorm with irresponsible people who pull fire alarms at 1am, drink and play loud music by the pool, if you want to find cigarette buds in the pool while your children swim, if you like the smell of dog and cat pee in the hallway, if you want to be stuck in the elevator, if you don't like finding a parking space, if you are comfortable having a leasing manager who is incompetent, and if you want to be locked out of the apartment because the key card thingy doesn't work. However, If you are like most people and NOT interested in those things then I would not recommend seriously considering this place. I will say that, the girls in the loby have been nice, the maintenance guys are always nice, efficient, and they actually responds to calls. The loby is really nice but unless you're Kanye you won't be moving into the loby, and the do occasionally do nice things for their residents. So overall it's not the worst place in Columbus but it's far from the best.
All of the community amenities are great, however I can count on one hand how many times I have used them. The lobby and amenities are what sold me to the complex but I don't live in the lobby, also the free beer is what got my husband....too bad it's always out. I do enjoy my apartment it has a great at home feeling, until I start to hear my neighbors through the ceiling and walls. I have two vehicles that have been damaged and management was unable to help. Also the price for such a small place in my opinion is not worth it. I lived at Kenyon Square for a year, and only a year due to the $76 a month increase at lease renewal.
Nice place to live. Good facilities. I have to say most people are working daily and polite and respect each others. Maintenance is fast and responsible. If you work near polaris pkwy, then this is one of the best choices for you.
They use a third party verification company. The'r third party company came to us and said we owed an arbitrary, random amount for a place we lived at 6 years ago. We couldn't get any more specifics about it. They said if we wrote a check for $417, they'd clear us and we could rent an apartment there. I said absolutely not, especially without confirmation of who would be receiving this check and exactly what/where the alleged debt was owed. When we withdrew our application, I asked that they refund our money. It has been over 2 months and they still have not returned the money owed. I understand that the application fee is nonrefundable, but there is still $150 out stand which has not yet been returned. The apartment complex is gorgeous, but I can't abide the shady business practices.
