All of the community amenities are great, however I can count on one hand how many times I have used them. The lobby and amenities are what sold me to the complex but I don't live in the lobby, also the free beer is what got my husband....too bad it's always out. I do enjoy my apartment it has a great at home feeling, until I start to hear my neighbors through the ceiling and walls. I have two vehicles that have been damaged and management was unable to help. Also the price for such a small place in my opinion is not worth it. I lived at Kenyon Square for a year, and only a year due to the $76 a month increase at lease renewal.
Stay far away from this place, any place that has a high revolving door of employees/management is not a good place to live. Kenyon Square sublet's their utilitis so be aware that you will be paying for your, as well as everyone else's electricity. I would recommend this place if you are looking to live in a dorm with irresponsible people who pull fire alarms at 1am, drink and play loud music by the pool, if you want to find cigarette buds in the pool while your children swim, if you like the smell if dog and cat piss in the hallway, if you want to be stuck in the elevator, if you don't like finding a parking space, if you are comfortable having a leasing manager who is incompetent, and if you want to be locked out of the apartment because the key card doesn't work. If you are like most people and NOT interested in those things then I might suggest the Grand at Polaris, it's new, it's nice, it's CLEAN, and its just up the road- Old State Rd (off of polaris parkway) I wouldn't recommend ANY of greystars properties so stay far away from Alexander Square as well.
Nice place to live. Good facilities. I have to say most people are working daily and polite and respect each others. Maintenance is fast and responsible. If you work near polaris pkwy, then this is one of the best choices for you.
They use a third party verification company. The'r third party company came to us and said we owed an arbitrary, random amount for a place we lived at 6 years ago. We couldn't get any more specifics about it. They said if we wrote a check for $417, they'd clear us and we could rent an apartment there. I said absolutely not, especially without confirmation of who would be receiving this check and exactly what/where the alleged debt was owed. When we withdrew our application, I asked that they refund our money. It has been over 2 months and they still have not returned the money owed. I understand that the application fee is nonrefundable, but there is still $150 out stand which has not yet been returned. The apartment complex is gorgeous, but I can't abide the shady business practices.
This is probably one of the most overrated places in the city. The lobby is great but I don't live in the lobby. The elevators are out of order often, the carpet that was damaged 5 months ago, still not repaired.
