So we moved into our apartment in February 2014 and we didn't get to see it until we got the keys, they showed us a model apartment which was in perfect condition of course. Anyways, when we got into ours it smelled like cigarettes really bad, the cabinets were greasy feeling on the outside, completly scratched up/peeling and really torn up inside and All the drawers had problems closing. Our front door sticks really bad when trying to open it and ends up making a very loud sound when you finally get it open. The bathtub had a lot of the paint peeled off exposing metal and our shower head BARELY had pressure. So we wrote ALL of that on our inspection form when we moved in and were told everything would be taken care of as soon as they could. In March I asked what they could do about the bathtub because that was my biggest issue as I was pregnant and would soon be bathing my baby in this tub in June, they said they'd have someone come look at it but we never heard from them so we asked again the next month, even putting in a maintenance form and still nothing, we brought it up every single month until September 2014 when finally my boyfriend ended up demanding something be done. A week later a maintenance guy came over and took pictures of it saying they can resurface it but we'd have to be out of the apartment for 48 hours so they could do it. We agreed to that and said yes set it up and let us know when you need us to be gone. So now it's almost end of October and we haven't heard anything from them, we asked again on October 1st when we paid rent but still nothing. The laundry rooms are absolutely disgusting, hardly any of the exterior lighting works through out the complex making it pitch black at night. The pools have not been opened once since we've lived here and when we asked about it they literally told us we could jump the fence if we wanted to, I was 7 months pregnant with a huge belly when they told us that. We've had roach issues since day one and they've never addressed any one of our issues EXCEPT they fixed two drawers in the kitchen which ended up with the same problem less than two weeks later. I can't wait to move out of here and they better give us every cent of our deposit back.
I used to live here when it was called Sendero Ridge. During those 4 years I had bed bugs, and more cockroaches then you can imagine. My parents paid for me to stay in a hotel for a while while I attempted to get it under control. I haven’t had any of those problems this time around but I moved away for about 2 years and due to finances I had to move back. It is the cheapest place within 20 miles and I realize that you get what you pay for but they raised the rent over 200 dollars a unit and upgraded nothing. In fact all the pools were closed 95% of the summer. I figured with them having new management that there must have been improvements made….boy was I wrong. The first week after moving in and filling out a laundry list of things wrong with my unit after I moved in the maintenance staff entered my apartment while I was at work without calling me first or even saying a word to me that they were coming. I should have gotten the law involved but frankly that’s not something that I should have to worry about at the place I call home. I have two little dogs and had they gotten out while they were there it would have been an even worse problem then it already was. The final straw that lead me to write this review is they decided to take down their website with no notice and I went to go pay my rent today on my credit card like I always do and the website is gone. I called the office and she said “yea, it wont be up this month but it will be up next month” I proceeded to ask her if I can pay my rent a couple days later when I get paid since we can’t pay with a credit card this month and they just straight up said no… even though they created the problem. I do not recommend living here. Pay a little bit more to avoid all this headache.
This place is HORRIBLE. The roach infestation is ridiculous. I noticed all the bugs the day after I signed a lease. I reported this to the office immediately, they made it seem like I was telling a lie. They refused to change my apartment and of course they would not let me out of the lease. I never moved into the apartment, I refused to live in these conditions. I wouldn't wish this raggedy roach infested Place on my worst enemy. If I could give zero stars I would!
Horrible place. We had CONSTANT problems from the time we moved in to out and it took management forever to fix anything. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Way too many problems with things breaking all the time. Horrible! Our ceiling is leaking, we moved in and roaches were a HUGE problem, Sink is always breaking. Its just made us hate living here thank God our lease is almost up. We are definitely moving!
My experience moving at The Paragon was fantastic. I live in a medium one bedroom and the floor plan is perfect. The closet space is wonderful and the patio I am so excited for my patio! I definitely recommend checking this community out, I can guarantee the office staff will find you the perfect apartment home!
