This review is not directed towards the apartment office staff, who are great, but at the management and oversight team for the building. My then-fiance and I recently left for our honeymoon and informed the office that we were going to be out of town for a set period of dates. While gone, work continued in the parking garage, which required the staff to relocate cars in the parking garage. My car was in my parking space when we left, but then never returned to where it had been found, leading to it being towed without any further communication. Long story short, the management refuses to reimburse or otherwise assist with the towing fee - $262, even though I left the car in its assigned parking space. Thanks for the wedding present, Harrington Square! For all inquiring future residents, I'd be glad to share more information - find my review on yelp and send a message!
The office NEVER answers the phone. Not once have they answered since I've lived here the past 9 months I always have to go down to the office.
We have lived here at Harrington Sq for 1 year. The front office staff turn over is constant, and usually friendly. We renewed our lease. I come home in get a 3 day notice. PAY YOUR RENT OR ELSE! I go to the office and let them know we did not get a monthly bill. Possibly because of our renewal? Not sure. The front desk individual shares, 'this has happened a lot.' I ask for a billing statement to write my check. I let them know, I am never late on any payments, and am little frustrated about how they have handled this. The other associate, can't wait to tell me (get this 4 times!) that I will not be given a credit or the late fee not will be waived. It was if he was enjoying saying it! I said, 'BS!' To which he asked me to leave his office or he was going to call the police. First time in 58 years I have been told to leave or else. The police? 1. Neither associate knew what they were doing. I asked for the bill and they gave me a different unit! 2. No one checked to find out . . . hey, these folks are never late in their payment . . . and they just renewed their lease with us! 3. The one associate had zero tolerance for customer service. Actually enjoyed telling me,'you will not be given your late fee back!' 4. And to top it off, we get an email that we have a package to pick up. We go to the office. They cannot find it. And than . . . send us an email that it was picked up! Customer service at Harrington Square is not professional at the front desk. I will be talking about this with the Director. And for the late fee . . . I will move out (mid 50's who pay the bill on time and cause no problems), before I pay the fee to a bunch of young unprofessionals.
Apartments are good but leasing office staff is not satisfactory. They do not know how to handle most of the things when you go or call to office for any questions. Most of the time I came back with no solution of my issue. Safeway, KFC and Pizza Hut is good attraction point but overall area is not good. Lots of crime and drug activities at night. You will see lots of Cops visit every week near community. Plus, certainly overpriced community. They will increase rent every six months. (I've experience with that) Sometimes you will hear that people are screaming on road if you have road side apartment.
If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful property to rent...keep looking. Overpriced for the area, there are so many downfalls to living in this property that I could be typing all day. Stay away.
