Let me first start out with this: living here makes you feel like living in a college dorm. There are many negative reviews online about this apt building and they are all true - the leasing office doesn't care, the fire alarm goes off off in the middle of the night (4 am), and be prepared to have your car dinged up by a way too small parking garage. For the rent they charge, you can find better places in the same area. There is a reason why there are always open units at this place and most other buildings around Lenox are usually full
I can say that the apartment complex itself is not bad. The location is nice, the apartment itself was standard and pretty equivalent to what you were paying for, the pool was great, the gym was fine although a little small, and the other residents were nice and respectful. Where this review really comes into play is the leasing office--as many other reviews have been posted on behalf of. They seemed to have trouble with the most miniscule tasks and requests, they were by no means professional or respectful of the tenants (THEIR CLIENTS), and sadly they are what caused me to start on a slightly bumpy note and end on an absolutely terrible note. If there were other people in the office to handle these typical leasing office issues and responsibilities, this would be a completely different review and rating.
RUN, RUN, RUN. Good location but will it be worth moving in and not having a working shower? How bout having one of their contractors leave urine on your toilet seat? False Advertisement on their website via a failure to disclose recurring monthly pet fees. Misleading verbiage pertaining to pet weight and one time pet fees. When you pay a certain amount of money you expect a certain amount of service. Lower your expectations at the Alexan Lenox.
Living here for 2 years now. Good staff, but the complex has a terrible problem with false fire alarm. Sometimes, at 4am. In the middle of the night. Beware.
Literally the worst experience I've ever had with a leasing office in my entire life. They tried to give me an apartment that smelled like cigarette smoke and tried to hide it from me and delay me from finding out for as long as possible (Apt #365, do not live in this unit!). They were super nice and friendly until I put my deposit down...then, they magically disappeared, never returning my calls, voice mails, and emails. My move in date was scheduled for a Saturday and I did not receive my 33-page lease to review and sign until the night before (and I had to go to the office myself to request I get a copy of the lease!). The day I moved in the apartment smelled like smoke but the AC was turned down to 59 degrees and a cherry filter was put into the vents to try and mask the smell. I personally am not a smoker and I also have asthma so I told them I could not live here and leave all my furniture in here either. Long story short, I had to pay over $300 for the movers and furniture company to take back and restock my stuff AND the manager told me I would not be getting my deposit money back either because I technically did not move in so I don't qualify for the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Seriously?? So you can't reimburse me for my furniture moving AND you won't give me my deposit back? They pretty much screwed me both ways by using every excuse and loophole in the book. The people in the office can be very rude, and the others who are nicer are just flat out lazy! Nothing gets done and it's a total shame because it's in a nice location. Unless they get a new manager and staff and you don't here the names Salina, Sharon, or Brooke, I would run for the hills. Save your time, money, energy, and happiness and DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
