So the company that was previously managing the complex when I moved in in July was terrible... and that was the only complaint that I had about living here. I was working at another apartment complex when I met Melissa the manager of the new company, Michelson Organization, who is extremely friendly and sociable. She suggested I fill out an application, as they were looking for a new maintenance tech. I did and I love living and working here now. The crew is great, looking to do anything and everything they can to improve the complex or make living here more enjoyable. I love the residents here and talking to them almost as much as I love the team. We're looking to improve this place the best we can and change the damage that the previous management companies have done.

This place was good at first. Riverstone did an okay job of maintaining and managing the property. Then Greystar bought the place and it went downhill. The building 2 garage door had been broken since April, turning a once relatively secure building into a free-for-all. It was still broken as of August 21 when we moved out. Snow removal was almost non-existent. The new management company, the third in less than a year is staffed mostly with dishonest, arrogant and incompetent people. The property manager is rude and arrogant and treats people with disrespect. Ryan would be categorized as less than helpful. Over the course of a year at this place, we had several incidents where we had 'mysterious happenings'. We had a fruit bowl broken and placed in the sink when neither of us were at home. There were a number of times our storage was open and tools were missing from my toolbox. The atmosphere of the place is that of a frat house. If you like hearing everything that goes on in the hallways, slamming doors and hearing everything your neighbors do, this is the place for you. It's also perfect if you like dodging dog poop in the hallways and parking areas. People smoke pot in the stairwells and on their balconies so if you don't like the smell, stay away. The absolute best advice if you do move here is to take pictures at move in and at move out so you can disprove their questionable claims of things they had to do, such as painting, replacing light bulbs and patching holes. Video would be even better. Better yet, don't move here. This place was definitely not worth the price they ask for rent. Also, be wary of the cluster of 4 and 5 star reviews. Twice during the time we were here they offered a reduction in rent for a positive reviews. These people sold out their integrity for $50 off of 1 months rent. That is who your neighbors will be. Also, the property is not secluded. It's Parker and Iliff. You'll get all kinds of traffic noise and building 2 is across from the fire station on Emporia so be prepared for lots of sirens.

Stay away. The garage doors had been broken for about 6 months before they decided to fix them. Good thing I was paying for that extra security (sarcasm). People shout at each other from apartment to apartment, and the walls are thin. Garbage was an issue; they failed to clean the big garbage cans and so the chutes got backed up to the point where the room where the chute is located was literally un-enterable. Maintenance doesn't exist as far as I know, and I can hear everything upstairs. It's too bad the management sucks so hard and rates keep going up. the apartment itself is cute, but stay as far away as possible. Not worth the ungodly amount of money they charge. At most, this is a $600 apartment.

Do not move here. I can't stress that enough. It took them a long time to fix thier emergency maintenance line but My girlfriend locked herself out while I was stuck at work because the bottom handles lock (stupid) I had to pay a locksmith to get her in. I'm tried to make them pay for it and they refused claiming it's not In the leasebyet they failed to provide the services promised. I have lived here for a year and the complex has been owned by now 3 different management groups. The latest one fired all the wonderful ladies form the office and put in a new staff who doesn't know who I am and doesn't know thier job. I'm moving out and I could not be happier to get out of this crap hole. I've had problems with trash, puke in the hallways, knocking on the door late at night, fireworks in the halls on the 4th, angry neighbors screaming at each other across balconies, dog poop in the stairways, broken access doors and garage doors. That's just scratching the surface.

Overall, luxurious complex, clean and spacious apartments, nice and helpful staff in the leasing office and in maintenance. I came to Denver in August 2013 and Lugano was the first complex I visited looking for an apartment, because I had a fried living over there. But I decided not to take the decision right away, and wanted to see more options. In total, I visited around 5 complexes in the area, and although I could find relatively cheaper apartments in other places, but believe me, none were as new and clean as Lugano! So, I made the decided and came back to Lugano and signed the lease (^_^). There has been several improvements since I've moved in, which shows that the complex management is working hard to maintain the property in the best shape and trying to satisfy the residents. For example, they recently replaced portions of the carpets in the hallways, replaced the tiles in the hot tub, and they placed a brand new nice coffee machine down in the leasing office. The only thing I wish that they improve is the pool water temperature control. The pool water is mostly cold, even during the warm months of the year. If I had a friend coming to Denver, I would definitely recommend Lugano to him.
