Staff avoided question on safety of the neighborhood. Came to view an apartment with my two kids, and there was loud fowl cursing music blasting out of someone's window. It's only April, I'm sure it will be worse in the summer. Lots of men just loitering outside going in and out of several different apartments in that circle. Some of the kitchen cabinets were broken and wouldn't open. The dishwasher was old and crusty. Stove/Fridge weren't in the best condition, dirty and broken. The tub needs enamel to be redone because it's worn out and gray. The basement had pipes leaking on the floor. I can tell that maintenance is poor. Carpet looked decent but the laminate flooring needs replaced and you can tell the floorboards beneath are giving in. The staff person that showed us the apartment was nice, but whoever I talked to the day before was kind of rude. Not really a place to move in with kids unless you are desperate to get in somewhere. Not a good neighborhood. If you are considering moving here, stop by the police station and ask them how often they make calls out there. I can bet they would advise against going here.
This facility is horrible management is rude and don't care if your neighbors are disruptive and not following the guide lines of there lease. There is drugs and drug addicts which disturb your living situations. I would not recommend this to anyone. My apartment was filthy when I moved in . This have been one of my worse experiences. Don't Move Here especially if you have kids!!
I can honestly say after finishing over half of my lease that this is by far the worst home I have ever rented in my life. There are more problems with living here than I even have the time to list but here's a few just in case you're wondering: massive craters in the parking lot, no parking lot lights, no street lights, deteriorating American flag out at the entrance, maintenance that won't fix a roof that has been leaking since Christmas Eve of 2014, home in severely poor condition before even moving in, serious pest problem outdoors, the central air doesn't work and if it does it is extremely energy inefficient, break in's to vehicles, no security (no matter how much they say there is), obnoxiously loud and rude neighbors, inconsiderate office staff (don't worry they're friendly until you sign your lease), awful and literally impossible to contact management company. I have about 20 more but don't take my word for it. Read some of the other reviews and heed my warning when I say to look elsewhere, such as Copper Tree on the other side of Taylor or literally ANY other place than this. At $900/month you can do far better than renting from this conglomerate piece of trash company/complex.
This is not a good place to live if you have a family. It is unsafe and dirty. Spider infestation, bed bug infestations, and rowdy people. We supposedly live in the safe "section" because we have the three bedrooms townhouse. Yet, there was a drug raid a few doors down. On the police scanner you can hear about people getting robbed at gun point. The office lied when we first signed our lease and said this was a safe place. They overcharged us on rent by a month. There is never any parking. Call pizza places nearby and see if they deliver to pickwick....guess what THEY DON'T. For a reason. Its loud with people blasting there music and literally screaming. I told my family and friends I would not recommend this place. If you do, do not chose a place near the woods. Spiders everywhere, you cannot even open the door.
