Oh my goodness, where do I even start? The closet doors fall off every time you try to use them, as does the sliding back door. The air conditioning leaks water onto the carpet and messes up the ceiling as well. The dishwasher didn't work. The washer didn't drain after the cycle was over, so my clothes were still sopping wet. The dryer didn't work. When I contacted maintenance about these things, they literally just told me to do smaller loads. I lived on the center floor, and the people above me never took their dogs outside, just let them out onto the balcony, to do their business. Well, let me tell you something, the people below me, their balcony stuck out farther than mine, so all of the pet waste missed my balcony and fell onto the balcony below mine, and I was blamed for the falling pet waste. I don't have a dog. The trash chutes were always getting clogged and it would take weeks for the problem to be taken care of. Which is silly. There is an elevator and people just piled their trash in the trash room or in the hallways and hoped someone would take care of it. There are gang symbols in the stair wells, and once, I caught a maintenance guy doing drugs in the stairwell. I'm so grateful to be out of there!
So to add to my previous comment, someone hit my car in the parking lot and of course , no note was left. I was going to get a garage space cause hey maybe there's cameras for this kind of thing. No... no cameras really anywhere so... good luck finding anyone who hits your car or breaks into it for that matter. theres really no security here unless ur trying to get into the building. then youre locked out at every turn you take. still a nice place to live. but they lost a star for having ZERO cameras. (lobby, garage, hallways, parking lot.... NOWHERE)
I love my new home. Leasing agents are friendly and get things done. Maintenance requests are fixed almost immediately. Parking isn't bad and there is underground options available. The amount of space for the price is second to none. I recommend this community to anyone.
Do not live here! They have the worst maintenance. My apartment flooded every time it rained or snowed and they didn't don anything for 6 months because management kept rotating. Then finally they moved me to a new apartment which looks nice but nothing works. The water temperature is either scorching hot or freezing cold. There is no medium. They say they will fix it and never do. Everything is broken in the units. I have never lived somewhere that was this bad. Save yourself the trouble and pay more for a better apartment. It has been a nightmare and I cannot wait until my lease is up.
I thought I found the perfect apartment when I moved here in September, 2014. Beautiful layout, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with a two balconies that overlook Babi Yar park. I use the second bedroom for my office because I work from home. I loved the separation between my office and the rest of the apartment, very conducive to being able to leave work at a decent hour, close the door and be able to enjoy the evening. My base rent when I moved in was $1,454.00 per month. I say base rent, because people need to be aware of the other charges before they agree to pay the "base rent". Resident Services: $ 9.95 Allocated Water Service: $13.83 Allocated Sewer Service: $15.33 Stormwater Service: $ 3.00 Trash Service: $10.00 Allocated Gas Service: $30.18 Pest Service: $ 3.00 Service Fee: $ 5.00 PLUS, if you have a pet, $35.00 (which i do) Garage: $30.00 (I got a special on this, but it is normally $50.00) Storage: $10.00 Making the rent a Grand Total of $1,619.29 per month. Here is what I have put up with in the year that I lived here: 1. My initial move in date was moved by management, 3 times, due to the apartment I reserved not ready for move in. Though this did cost me money, I patiently waited for this apartment, since my good friend lives in J-110, and I wanted this apartment, in this building. 2. In November of 2014, during the first real cold snap of the year, I went without heat for 5 days, due to the boiler not working in my building. Management brought me a space heater, but it did not keep my apartment above 40 degrees. It was freezing here. 3. After the "no heat" week, the boiler was semi-fixed, so the heat became unbearable for the next 4 weeks. They told me I could not touch my thermostat, due to the issue with the boiler, so it was above 80 degrees in my apartment for the next 4 weeks. 4. The elevator in my building gets "stuck" almost every other week, and on one Sunday morning, I was stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes, before the fire department came and had to take a crowbar to open the door. 5. In March of 2015, someone ran into the garage door in my building, and it was not repaired for 6 weeks. During this time, all of the people that did not pay for parking in the garage, were parking in the garage because they could. Some nights, I was unable to access MY garage space, because of this. 6. Someone broke into the storage units in my building, and all of my luggage that I stored in there was taken. 7. The pond fountain has not worked by my building since October, 2014, which has made this pond an excellent breeding ground for trash and mosquitoes. 8. The pool did not open until the middle of July, which is roughly half of the Colorado summer. 9. Just yesterday, 2 police vehicles were out in front, escorting a tenant moving his furniture out of building K. 10. There is a HUGE RV parked in front of building J, and it has been there for days. 11. In the green area across from the parking lot where I walk my dog, someone has pitched a tent. So, when I got my letter that told me my base rent is going up to $1,744.00 per month, it prompted me to write this review. This is completely outrageous! This is a BASE rent increase of 20%, which for me would be $290 per month!! Really out of line.
