The Carlisle has seen positive changes since we first moved in during 2013. The management and maintenance team is one of the most driven and fun I've had in Denver. They've always been willing to work with us on any question or issue, and maintenance has been done promptly. There is also a real sense of community, including happy hour event, competitions and other mixers. It is on the pricier side, given it's proximity to the park, but the Carlisle is a warm and friendly little neighborhood that we're happy to live in.
This is a great place to live! The staff are friendly and helpful. The neighbors are nice. The apartments are wonderfully renovated. The location is fantastic, just 1/2 block from Cheesman Park. Sitting on the roof deck watching the sun set is a great way to finish up my day.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Sure its a nice location but save yourself the trouble from their lying and stealing management. You have an issue that needs resolved? Call the office and they either wont answer or if you leave a message you might get a call back a week later. Tom in leasing will sweet talk you to screw you for all your worth. He is the most unprofessional leasing person in Denver. Followed up by Nick the leasing manager...who is rude..unprofessional and not management material. They still owe us money from nearly a month ago and still nothing. We have even talked to the property group who runs them and still the run around on the corporate end. Trust the other 2 reviews on here and their warnings. DO NOT listen to the 5 star reviews in which they paid for!
Decent if overpriced apartments with a great location. The building is falling apart in places but the maintenance staff is always working to improve it.
I am a current resident and I would like to warn people against making the mistake I did! This place has been under construction for several days now. They have been sandblasting continuously throughout the day. 8 hours a day. The sand gets into the apartments and leaves a layer of dust on everything. The guys doing the work are wearing masks and protective gear, yet we have to breathe this in? Once they are done with sandblasting, they are going to be using a jackhammer to tear up the concrete. My neighbor was laughed at when they tried to address this with the landlord. We were told they would be in contact with us about a resolution. Haven't heard a thing. They have let this building lapse to the point where it requires major work. This wouldn't be a problem had we been given adequate notice and given a reduction in rent or money to stay in a hotel during all of this. The management has done nothing to try and ease any of this stress. I am so disappointed, frustrated and angry with this situation. This is unsafe, intolerable, and shows the immense irresponsibility of the management and owners. Stairs had to be removed because they were unsafe. This doesn't even begin to cover the several occasions where we were without hot water for several days at a time! No compensation, not even an apology. Pay a little more and have some sanity.
