I would recommend this complex to anyone! I have lived here since 2010 (when it first opened) and I love it!!!! The staff is great; especially Jamie, Roman, Douglas, Minju and Tanja. Whenever I have an issue with ANYTHING, it is quickly resolved. From my keys being dropped down in the elevator to helping me with a VERY stressful matter, EVERYTHING was resolved in a timely manner. More so, it was resolved with compassion and professionalism. I love my building (nonsmoking). It is SO quiet! I think a lot of professionals live in my building and on my floor so no loud music or conversations. The only thing I'm not happy about is the increase of rent at renewal and being unable to find parking on your level after a certain time. Hopefully there will be assigned parking for every tenant soon and rent won't increase with good loyal tenants! Camden Vantage is definitely a great place live!!!!!
I've only lived in Camden Vantage for a week now, but have to say that so far I am completely satisfied with it. The whole process of getting everything set up for the move was smooth and everybody in the leasing office was very helpful. So far I've enjoyed the rooftop garden and the gym every day that I've been living here, both are great. I'll be updating my review after I've been living longer, but I don't think it'll differ too much from this one. Definitely seems to be a great place to live!
Vantage is a very comfortable place of living and it would be a wise decision to consider making it a personal home. The property is well maintained and the landscape is nice. The drive into the complex displays an amazing view of downtown Atlanta, one of my favorite features! The inside of my apartment is clean, I had an issue with a couple of items, but maintenance replaced the items immediately after I put in a request to have them fixed. Thanks guys! The pool is clean and the gym is top notch!
Best place we've lived at so far. The staff are friendly, helpful and seem to go out of their way to foster a good sense of community. The amenities are great. I'm particularly a fan of the gym which is better equipped than what I would expect from an apartment gym. The apartments are pretty quiet, I haven't had any issues as far noisy neighbors or anything like that. Security is awesome, everything has electric locks and gated parking. All and all, I plan on staying here for quite a while and I would definitely recommend it to those still looking.
My experience was poor because of a burglary, so your stay will likely be better than mine.***********PROS: Most of the staff is very friendly. I worked with Jamie and Tonja the most, both of which were always willing to listen and were a solid foundation to this complex. The repair team was also a positive to this location. They fixed issues the day of request. The view is spectacular if you live on the side facing the skyline. The rooftop grills also have an amazing view of the skyline. The two pools are saltwater and semi-resort style. The gym is two-floors tall and has a decent amount of equipment. The clubhouse has several TVs with cable and wifi if you want to host a football viewing party or something similar. They offer one computer and printer, which is usually being used, but is great for your printing needs. They cover the (black and white) ink, you cover the paper. You are a "rock's throw" from the highway and just a few blocks out of midtown or downtown. Buckhead is about 15 minutes away.************CONS: We came home to our door kicked in with around $5,000 worth of small electronics and jewelry missing. The scary part was they came in the middle of the day around 3:00pm - not in the middle of the night like you would think. They even stole my car keys, so every night I wondered if I would wake up to my vehicle stolen from the parking garage. We moved states and transferred job locations because of this issue. We simply felt unsafe - any knock at the door made you worry about who might be standing on the other side. In all honestly, the warning signs were there. The apartment staff emailed us bi-monthly about new home or car break-ins. The parking garage looks nice, but people still have their valuables stolen out of their vehicles pretty regularly. Also, if you drive either direction down Jackson St., you will notice this is still a really bad area of town. "Old Fourth Ward", as they call it, is up and coming but is the nicest part of a very sketchy area. If you go down the street toward the Wendy's and Baskin Robbins, you'll notice this area looks similar to scenes from the movie "Hardball". Simply put, you want to avoid driving down this area at all costs and NEVER walk down this street. We filed a report to the Atlanta PD and for some reason this complex wouldn't give the video evidence to the detective. In fact, they were so uncooperative that a subpoena was issued. The head director of several Camden locations in the area, a gentleman whom I will not name, was extremely rude to my fiance and I concerning the burglary. We wanted to move Camden locations to a safer neighborhood and we were very polite about the situation. He wouldn't answer any emails or phone calls for two full weeks until we threatened a lawsuit. After finally getting in touch with him following lawsuit threats, he wouldn't allow us to end the lease early or transfer locations, even though the contract says they have the ability to do so at their own peril. During the last conversation we had with him, he hung up on us and showed heavy disrespect and lack of professionalism. Other cons included the hallways smelling of marijuana the entire day, every day. There were always sketchy people in or around the complex. You can hear dogs barking loudly at all times of the day from several tenants because the walls aren't thick. I wouldn't recommend living on the first floor - that seemed to be where all the thefts took place. They also stopped receiving packages at the leasing office, so I heavily recommend making sure you're at your apartment the day any package is supposed to arrive. Otherwise, it will be sitting in a high-traffic hallway all day (or for several days if you're out of town). Traffic is also horrible here. That's what comes with the downtown-area territory. There were days that it took me an hour to drive four miles either direction on the highway in front of the complex (I-75). Unless you work downtown/midtown area, driving every day is a nightmare. As someone who travels for a living, I found that out the hard way.
