lol This place has so many Chinese renters here now. Some of them are so rich they drive a Maserati. I remember seeing a brand new MacBook Air inside that Maserati with the door wide open and nobody(including myself, what a shame!) took the laptop. There are still some Ghetto/street style looking people living in this property. There are bunch of kids in the complex and the management team's daughter lives here too. I sometimes take walks around the complex in the middle of the night for chats with my GF and prepare for exams. I'm leaving soon in April,2015 Unsafe?

I lived in cal villages 2005-2007. I would never live there alone or if I had a nice car. Drugs, car break ins and gang members are common. If you are not familiar with the area and are looking for a safe apartment near cal poly stay away from this area! Check apartments in Walnut or Diamond Bar. P.S. The rave reviews with five stars are from California Village Management, not real renters.
