Management horrible, never get back to you when you need to talk to them. Electricity turned off to building for hours without notice. Poorly built. You can hear everything from outside, and if you live on first floor foot steps from second floor seem amplified due to bad floor and wall construction and insulation. No fire extinguisher and claimed one I purchased as their own. Spent weeks trying to get a hold of management to find out if my lease would be renewed. Air filters never changed when requested, mold in air filter from it freezing and thawing, mold around window frames.
OH>>MY>>GOD! I REAAAALY wish I didnt like my little house and yard so much. Crime, way too much. Management, way to screwed up. Rules are not consistant from one tenent to another. Yard maintenence is way lacking. Laundry room, EEEWWW! Maintenence is pretty darn good. You call... You get service - with a smile no less. Office,. huh..no way. They really are non-caring about maintaining the fourplexes. Like onereviewer said, "stay to yourself, don't make waves, and keep protection and you'll be OK.
The fourplexes look pretty good seeing as they're so cheaply priced , it has a park, landscaping, a learning center and pool nearby but the con's far outweigh the pro's. To start off the neighbor hood isn't safe anymore and within 3 weeks of living there I witnessed 2 drug transactions in broad daylight and more drug dealers live there then ever before. I have a friend who currently lives there and he said someone set the trash in the dumpster on fire! People sit in their cars playing loud music for hours on end very late at night and vandalism is a big issue. The area surrounding this complex looks very run down and graffiti is everywhere. For the sake of you and your family DON'T MOVE THERE!!!!!
I lived in the babcock north fourplexes for a little over 2 years. The management was great, the area was kept as clean as possible, the laundry area and playgrounds were always kept nice. THAT BEING SAID, there were constant break-ins (mainly to the mailboxes), there was a stabbing, vandalism, lack of security, and the police were always there. One day I came home from work to find a neighbor on his roof with a shot gun (not sure why). I had stalkers who would come to my door throughout the night, however luckily the cops were always near by. My sister was asked to buy drugs one day while leaving my apt at 5 oclock in the evening. I haven't lived in there in some time, so hopefully the crime issue is much better. But please beware, and buy a baseball bat.
