Please run, don't live here...no seriously. I went online just like you are probably now, and while looking for apartments, I saw Bryant Oaks and the ridiculous comments left by previous leasees and still decided this hell hole because of the price. I wish I hadn't ignored those comments and those pictures that people posted of this place. People of Minnesota, please save yourself the trouble and don't do what I did. Be smarter than me. Spend the extra $50 down the street. The property manager is a creepy pedophile. Not only did I put myself in this terrible living situation but after going through a divorce, my kids have to be around this creepy guy. I would call the cops but I am fearful I will be forced out of my contract and have to pay the ridiculous opt out fee. And good luck getting a hold of anyone at the corporate office. They are "too good" to talk to their own tenants. At least they are too good to talk to Bryant Oaks tenants, because this is their cheapest property. This place is probably too expensive to bulldoze down so they keep it up for stupid people like me. Don't be stupid like me people!
I have been at this property for 5 years and this has been the most pleasant place that I have lived in the metro area. When I was looking for an apartment, I was very disappointed in other places in the area because the rooms were so small and the hallways were so dark. The living rooms in these apartments are so spacious, so when I was taking my tour, I thought to myself that if the bedroom is even HALF the size of the living room, I will be so thrilled...then when I opened the bedroom door, I immediately thought "SOLD!!!"...the bedroom is so big that I can fit a queen bedroom suite furniture set and more! The closets are huge, the kitchen has plenty of cupboards, it's fantastic. The Management, caretakers and maintenance workers are fabulous. I've only had one issue with my dish washer and it was taken care of right away! I also really enjoy the city of South St. Paul's effort in maintaining fitness walking paths and frisbee golf nearby. It feels like living in a small town with all of the outdoor options.
I am still living here but I thought that it might be good to warn anyone who is considering moving here to read the past reviews. They are pretty spot on when it comes to the manager. And while I'm talking about the management, if they are reading this, For whatever misguided reason you can come up with, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO COME INTO MY APARTMENT WITH GIVING ME PRIOR NOTICE. Bring a flashlight with you when you come to look at one of the apartments. You will need it to see in the oven. I haven't used the oven since I moved in. Even though it was "technically clean" as the manager claimed, they did another feeble attempt. It looks like it has never been cleaned now but I am pretty much left to pound sand because they aren't going to change it. I do have other photos that I will publish here in the near future.
DON'T RENT FROM HERE!!!!!!!! This is the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. People steal from your cars and siphon gas. Someone stole my watch, camera and snow brush. Not only is there terrible smell in the hall way, you can't even open the window without smelling someone's body odor, smoke, or someones burnt food. Oh by the way, this apartment is in the hood and borderline Projects! The manager is a liar and went back on his word many times costing me hundreds. This place is so cheap they use sand to melt the snow, needless to say even I, a fit 24 year old slipped a several times. There are cheaper, better apartments out there. Lynwood Commons is a place you can start. I went to the BBB to complain and they directed me to the Department of Labor. I will taking a little visit there in a few weeks. DON'T DO IT EVERYONE PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX!!!!!
