i do not like this apartment, they have mold in their tub, a/c leaks, the top shelf closet is about to give up, they have old appliances, the whole apartment is not well insulated.. during winter is terrible because the cold air gets inside, the thermostat is not accurate at all, the whole entire 9 months i stayed here the water was always off countless times, december 31, 2014 they turned off the water without notice, and its been off for about 28 hours, i called the maintenance during their non office hours and they replied "ma'am, what do you want me to do? i can't do nothing about your water being turned off.." totally rude, and plus their toilets is always clogged everyday, even if i call the maintenance, its pointless because all they do is plunged it, and two days later its clogged again... its really terrible apartment, they need to get these apartments buldozed and build a newer one.
The bad and the ugly Stove has had one too many mexican food dinners made (but still works fine), dishwasher has been inoperable for about six months (i've been too lazy to call for replace/repair), surface mold in the bathroom, which i'm not too concerned about (i did my research). I do have concerns how billing statements/accounting system works. I was told by the office manager that if you pay over the minimum payment but less than $1, the overage goes "just disappears into thin air". I reviewed my payments with the manager (and yes, she showed me the screen). There was no accountability or reflection of the overages in their system. (Please refer to the good below.) The Good No loud neighbors, maintenance responds quickly, the management office will work with you. As mentioned above in the accountability of the disappearing money, even though i didn't agree with it, i accepted their answer. I calculated the amount i should have paid more throughout the months but my calculations were incorrect, according to them, hence my review of their billing practices. They went ahead and adjusted late fees and shortage amount which totaled $80+, they may have well did this to avoid further questions and possible litigation. Final Recommendation Overall, this place isn't that bad. Outside of the bathroom issue and old appliances, I'd recommend the place to anyone looking to live in the NW side of SA for such a cheap price. Comparable apartments in the area will run $200-$300 more. I
Management is pretty cool. The area is quiet and the maintenance men are pretty much responsive as far as my calls were concerned. Only thing bad is that all the appliances are from 1985. WTF
I lived there two years, that was 1 year 11 mos and 30 days too many. I had an apartment on the first floor, the water heater in the apartment above me spilled over and into my apartment over my desk. This destroyed my laptop and important papers I had. They would not replace the laptop and wanted my rental insurance to cover it. Rental Insurance refused because the leak from the apartment above was preexisting. It had been patched over numerous times. Throughout my stay there, numerous water leaks and problems. Management was rude and very slow to attend to issues. At the end of my lease, I gave my 30 days notice, as requested, turn in the key after moving everything out. They misplace the key and now charged me for 6 extra days for rent until they found the key, plus the water bill. It is now on my credit report and they adding having to paint and get the apartment ready for the next tenant. I lived there 2 years of course they would have to do additional cleaning and repairs... but I have to pay for it. Please do not consider living here... you will only regret it !!!
