WE BEEN HAVING A SINKHOLE FOR OVER 3 MONTHS THEY SAID THE WAS GOING TO BE JUST A SHORT TIME BUT NO AWNSER, CALL OFFICE THEY ONLY GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND NO SIDEWALK, HAVE TO PARK FAR AWAY FROM MY UNIT, WHEN IT RAIN WET SOAK MANAGEMENT DONT CARE BEEN ASKING TO RELOCATE FAR FROM SINK HOLE, NO AWNSERS I PAY MY RENT ON TIME, MY APT IS CLEAN THE LEAST I EXPECT IS TO RELOCATE ME OR HAVE THE PROBLEM FIX POOR COMMUNICATION

I stayed here for two years and enjoyed the quiet environment. However, when we moved out we were slammed with over $1,000 worth of fines. The apartment had the normal wear and tear of an extended stay with two tenants: run down carpets, a few wall scrapes. We were also charged for stains and damages that were there when we moved in, such as water stains in the toilet and bath. Here's something I wish I had known: DO NOT EVER EVER GET SURE DEPOSIT. It is a MASSIVE scam. Fountainhead staff will talk it up like they're helping you out and saving you money, but it's just a way for them to make you pay for every single tiny piece of damage when you move out. If you try to question the bill, they just send you on to collection. Just save yourself the trouble and live somewhere else, where the staff and management are honest and trustworthy (unlike this place).

I've been here two years and just signed my lease for a third. They are very inexpensive and in a great location. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff is awesome. Having a washer/dryer unit in my apartment is wonderful. Close to everything, especially the med center. I read some of the other reviews and they seem to complain about one or two isolated incidents. Overall, the FountainHead is great!

I love these apartments. Like ANY other apartment complex, there are some issues, but they get taken care of right away. I had ants at one point and when I called, they sent someone right away. My AC wasn't cooling at one point, and they fixed it immediately. Little things that I had issues with, they took care of right away. The thin walls are everywhere...actually, there are some nice apartments off Bandera where the walls are even THINNER! All in all, the place is quiet and nice. The appliances are old, but they work...you see it in the beginning, so if you don't like it, don't move in...personally, I don't care. If they work, perfect for me! They take care of any issues in a timely manner. They don't bother me at all. I wish there were a way to pay online or a night box...but they are open until 6, so that gives me time to pay after work. They are open on the weekends too, so that is convenient.

Apartments are cheap Many pools Lots of problems: Issues with pest control and pest control company is more than likely spraying sugar water. Had to hire my own pest control to keep out the ants, roaches, and spiders. Repair men take almost a week to get to repairs and most of the repairs placed with the office are ignored until the 3rd or 4th email. Repair men also tend to wear their shoes in your apartment and do not clean up after themselves.. especially after a chimney sweep for your dryer. Lots of damage from the previous tenant is left in the apartment, even though they were probably charge or lost their deposit for these damages. Dryer takes multiple cycles to dry a small to medium load of laundry and stackable units are less than the normal size. Hot water does not fill a bath or last more than a 10 min shower. Appliances are old and take several work orders (6 + months) before they are replaced. Flooring is coming apartment. Laminent and carpet are lifting. Rusty nails coming out of the carpet. No assigned parking. Issues with guest parking in front of your apartment and parking in handicap spots. Gates are typically broken so no safety. No security. Only one member of the office who's in management is willing to listen to your concerns and actually get things repaired, but she is probably overwhelmed with other duties as well. Office members seem to change every few months as well as repair men. Company has to use outside vendors for pest control and carpet and flooring. Office will not sign for packages and no outgoing mail slot. Pay the same price for water even if you are out of town two months. It could be worse but when your rent goes up yearly you'd expect repairs to atleast be made.
