The peace in this apartment is ideal. Quiet and friendly neighbours, respectful and helpful staff. I love the waterfront view, I recommend to anyone looking for a place. Thumbs up!
The "Roaches and Maintenance Nighmares" review is kind of confusing to me as I have lived in this complex for almost a year and I have yet to see one roach in my unit. There has been some plumbing issues, but they have been delat with professionally and expertly. Even the personal towels that were used to deal with the flooding were washed and dried by staff and returned. Nothing is ever 100%, but the office staff is helpful and pleasant, and maintenance has responded to each and every issue that has arisen. I would recommend this complex to anyone who was looking for a unit on the westside, and in fact I did just that, and a couple I know moved in close by recently. Heritage On The River is a very good value for your money.
Not only will you live with roaches for the entirety of your lease, the chances of your ceiling leaking is extremely great.. I use to not read reviews or write them but this is an exception. I live in my townhouse for 2 week before I woke up to electrical sparks shooting out the the electrical outlet. I had to put my 3 year old in my car to keep him warm because I had to turn off the power to the house until the maintenance man decided to show smoking a nasty cigarette. He complained about having to coming out at 3 am as if I wanted to be looking in his face at 3am instead of being in my bed. A few months later my ceiling downstairs began to leak, I complained for months until today.. I have had enough of the disrespect from the leasing manager, Lisa, and the old smoking maintenance man. Tonight the ceiling started leaking again, but this time the origin of the leak was different from the previous times. Because the ceiling would leak when I would use the bathroom in 3 year old son's room, and the apartment manager, Lisa, refused to address the issue we stop using that bathroom and only used my bathroom. However tonight the ceiling began to leak while my son was taking a bath in my bathroom. So I called the 24 maintained emergency line and I expressed my concern about the water leaking from the ceiling as well as the location of the leak. The water was leaking round electrical outlet and around the ceiling fan which obviously concerned me. I had to call the emergency line 3 times over the course of 1.5 hrs and guess was on call..? The smoking maintenance man.. And again he didn't want to come out he asked me to use the other bathroom. I told him I couldn't because it was still broke for the last time.. After him telling me there was nothing he could or would do tonight, he told that he would call his manager, Lisa, and ask her if it was an emergency... After waiting over another hour (11pm) on the maintenance man to return my call I decided to call him back. He hung up in my face. Apparently a leaking ceiling with potential of an electrical fire isn't deemed a emergency by Lisa, the apartments manager, or the maintenance man... He did tell me that before rudely hanging up on me that Lisa said is wasn't an emergency. If you want to live in fear of life threatening maintenance issues by yourself or with your children this is the place to be.. Yes is pretty, but everything that glitters isn't gold.. This place is more coal not worth a dime.
I love the peace and serenity here
