I can't wait to get out. This place is awful. I have a huge bug problem even after having the place sprayed 4 times in less then a year. And when you tell the office about it they will tell you it's hawaii there are bugs everywhere. The utilities are insane. And sketchy ad shit. I have friends that are out on deployment all the breakers are off in their home. And they are still getting utility bills for over 200 dollars. Me i was gone for the whole month of April arena mine is over 300... they say a meter is broken and it goes off the community average. If bother meters are "broken" and we are in the same community then why is the amount not the same. And everytime uou redo your lease they will raise it by atleast $80.. so they will screw you in the long run when it comes to being a reasonable price in the beginning but by the end your paying way more then what these nasty houses are worth. Like all the other posts. Stay away STAY AWAY!!!!
It used to be great.... However, since the new ownership and the change in management companies, I haven't felt so warm and fuzzy. I can't get any answers about an over-inflated electricity bill (double the usual? say what?!). My neighbor is constantly blocking my assigned parking stall and parking on the grass between us, yet security does nothing. Maintenance kind of brushed off our concerns about a loud and pounding noise coming from the washer (balance issue they said, nope we said and now I have video to prove it), and just recently they didn't even show up for a maintenance appointment to refinish our tub (I was wiping down the tub with a clean towel after a shower and the big section of finish came off). Now they say they may not do anything! I certainly would not have accepted the home if I had known the tub finish was junk.
This place doesn't deserve a star, but that's the only way I can WARN ANYONE, SO do NOT RENT HERE!!!! This place is horrible. They pull you in with half off, or refer a friend deals, they have maintenance cut grass, and water the first month you move in, but before you know it, the water doesn't turn on in your yard, the grass is over grown, and when they do cut the grass, it ends up in your door way. There is a huge ant and Roach problem......oh, and let's not forget the huge RAT problem. Be careful not to sit too long on the toilet, a rat might bite you!!! Had more than five floods while living here. It all happened within the two months that I had moved in. Tasha Vegas, is a heartless being!!! Stay far from her. Because of our horrific experience, I currently have Tulsi Gabbard investigating my case. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE......STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!!
First day we moved in we saw a mouse run across the living room. Then found out there was a lot of them in the attic. They put up traps and when we got back home from a weekend away our place smelled of dead rat. Asked to be relocated to a different unit and haven't had any response about it. Now we wake up to a lot of them running around all night in the ceiling and in the walls. Who do Icall if I tried numerous times about it and nothing has been done about it. Really frustrating.
1 year update- At first my family and I loved it here now we cannot wait to move out. I should have took the yelp reviews more into consideration. During the year that we lived here we experienced several power outages which was not only an inconvenience but we also had a lot of spoiled food. We also had to go through the pain of them switching electric companies in which we were required to put in a $200 deposit to switch to HECO. First of all the residents were not notified of the deposit and secondly how is that our problem when it was Kalaeloa's decision to switch electric companies. I asked the staff the same question in which I got the reply "Its just like renting a house you have to put a deposit down". Not to mention that we also got billed from both electric companies during the same month. I could go on and on about my experiences and how the office staff does not empathize with our situation but then this post could get very long. So in short, I would look elsewhere to rent.
