This place doesn't deserve a star, but that's the only way I can WARN ANYONE, SO do NOT RENT HERE!!!! This place is horrible. They pull you in with half off, or refer a friend deals, they have maintenance cut grass, and water the first month you move in, but before you know it, the water doesn't turn on in your yard, the grass is over grown, and when they do cut the grass, it ends up in your door way. There is a huge ant and Roach problem......oh, and let's not forget the huge RAT problem. Be careful not to sit too long on the toilet, a rat might bite you!!! Had more than five floods while living here. It all happened within the two months that I had moved in. Tasha Vegas, is a heartless being!!! Stay far from her. Because of our horrific experience, I currently have Tulsi Gabbard investigating my case. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE......STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!!!
1 year update- At first my family and I loved it here now we cannot wait to move out. I should have took the yelp reviews more into consideration. During the year that we lived here we experienced several power outages which was not only an inconvenience but we also had a lot of spoiled food. We also had to go through the pain of them switching electric companies in which we were required to put in a $200 deposit to switch to HECO. First of all the residents were not notified of the deposit and secondly how is that our problem when it was Kalaeloa's decision to switch electric companies. I asked the staff the same question in which I got the reply "Its just like renting a house you have to put a deposit down". Not to mention that we also got billed from both electric companies during the same month. I could go on and on about my experiences and how the office staff does not empathize with our situation but then this post could get very long. So in short, I would look elsewhere to rent.
I had lived in a unit in this Kalaeloa Rental Homes for four years and moved to California recently. It was a nice community with good people. The unit I lived was very spacious and comfortable. All the requests that I made for maintenance were done nicely and timely. Office workers, maintenance workers and ground workers were very kind and willing to help the tenants. Especially, Nani was very helpful. I highly recommend this place for comfortable and safe living.
Seems like every other week we have a power outage here of some sorts, last night's lasted 13 hours for us. The worst thing about it was to see a guy with a crowbar come down to flip a breaker that took him less then 5 mins to fix. They should've had a guy out here last night and we wouldn't have to be disposing of spoiled food from the refrigerator. If you can deal with the Bugs and mosquitoes that literally attack you, the constant blackouts, and crappy unstable internet service, this community would be a good place to live.
Wish I did more research before signing lease. Electricity and water bill is outrageous. Leasing staff hides the fine detail of what you will be billed for. Neighbors complain about noise. Beware!
