Update 2/16: I was approved for reasonable accommodations parking. I was told that I would get a phone call when there was an approval or not, but if I didn't get a call, to call on Friday around noon. I didn't get a call, so I called into the office to checkup on it. I spoke with Hamza. He said that the parking had been approved and I just needed to come in to pick up my new sticker and another piece of paperwork. I came in today, Sat Feb 6, 2016 before noon. I spoke initially with Carol who was checking up on it for me. She asked me if I'd brought in my old parking sticker, I said no, I hadn't been told that I needed to. Hamza had come out during this interaction and said, "I'm pretty sure I'm the one you spoke to, and I told you that you needed to bring it." I said, "No, Hamza, you didn't, or I would've brought it in." He said, "Well, I'm not going to argue with you. I know what I said." All he had to do was say, "I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding." Instead, he insisted he was correct (he wasn't) and decided to put me into a defensive position. I told him, "Hamza, take some personal responsibility here! You did not tell me, or I would've brought it in!" The situation escalated as he treated me with condescension and amusement. I am pregnant and ill. I asked for his supervisor's phone number. He told me, "There's no number, I can give you a card." He made gestures that continued to be provoking (throwing his hands up like he was some long suffering martyr to his job). He continued to argue, and I continued getting angrier. Yes, I rose my voice to him. He treated me so poorly, I have never been treated in such a way by someone who I AM A CUSTOMER FOR in my life. In the end, he merely gestured toward the business cards and told me I could get his supervisor's info there. If anyone is planning a class action lawsuit, please contact me. ********** We moved in a few months ago (2-ish). We've had nothing but problems. The management and leasing agents are snakes. Before they reformed their parking, we had to park down the street, outside of our parking lot because there was no parking. Gates are left open so anyone can drive in or walk in. Our car got flooded in their parking garage because their drains failed, and they hired some fly-by-night guy to detail it... The guy took 5 days, and our interior carpet is irreparably ruined because of the long delay. There are cockroaches, though admittedly they will fumigate for you. The maintenance guys think that once they've been admitted once to fix something, they can enter and exit the apartment as they please. Our A/C went out, and though they brought in a portable unit for the living room (the bedroom is sweltering), there is no estimate as to when the actual unit will be repaired. Our car was towed when we inadvertently parked in a very poorly marked and dim lit reserved space... Apparently in compliance with ADA's reasonable accommodation, except that the parking spot is in the underground structure, in a narrow spot, and far from any of the buildings. They don't explain everything you'll have to pay out of pocket for, like you have to buy a plastic card for laundry... $5 for a piece of plastic and then you can use it to add more balance to it. They will nickel and dime you. The leasing agents will tell you different things, there's no real consistency. Seriously, read the negative Yelp and Google reviews. There is legitimacy in them, and I wish I had taken them more seriously.
Don't move there at all!!!!!!! I canceled my move in, and they wouldn't refund me my $199 holding fee, when they didn't tell me I had to cancel within 72 hours. Glad I decided not to move there. From all the reviews I have seen from maintenance issues, and roaches looks like I dodged a bullet. I guess from reading the reviews on them keeping your money was true. Don't believe the hype, please find you somewhere else to move, Madison Park is not where it's at, trust me, and if you don't believe me read more of the reviews, and see for yourself.
I used to live here and I enjoyed every minute. The management company was always attentive to any issues. There was a leak in the upstairs bathroom and they worked the following day and fixed both apartments. The price was reasonable. Great for families and singles. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place and amenities.
Terrible place, all other reviews are right on, if not worse than it sounds. Not to mention, owner probably also breaks deal with towing company and loves to tow car away!
Imagine you wake up every morning and you don't find your car where you have parked it!!! Imagine the hassle having to look for Uber twice a week to go to workout college and having to pay for your towed car over $200 to get it back from the towing company!!They towed my daughter's car twice in her first week there. They were never clear about the parking rules and what is permissive and what is not. Management until now are not cooperative especially that it is their fault that towing the car was due to short of info from their side. They refuse to refund is the towing fees and are arrogant not to admitvtvatvtgeyvare not clear and are not organized when fibbing info to new tenants. Such a disappointment. I wish the refund us what we have paid and we leave immediately especially after the seared bugs my daughter found in her bed.
