We moved in a few months ago (2-ish). We've had nothing but problems. The management and leasing agents are snakes. Before they reformed their parking, we had to park down the street, outside of our parking lot because there was no parking. Gates are left open so anyone can drive in or walk in. Our car got flooded in their parking garage because their drains failed, and they hired some fly-by-night guy to detail it... The guy took 5 days, and our interior carpet is irreparably ruined because of the long delay. There are cockroaches, though admittedly they will fumigate for you. The maintenance guys think that once they've been admitted once to fix something, they can enter and exit the apartment as they please. Our A/C went out, and though they brought in a portable unit for the living room (the bedroom is sweltering), there is no estimate as to when the actual unit will be repaired. Our car was towed when we inadvertently parked in a very poorly marked and dim lit reserved space... Apparently in compliance with ADA's reasonable accommodation, except that the parking spot is in the underground structure, in a narrow spot, and far from any of the buildings. They don't explain everything you'll have to pay out of pocket for, like you have to buy a plastic card for laundry... $5 for a piece of plastic and then you can use it to add more balance to it. They will nickel and dime you. The leasing agents will tell you different things, there's no real consistency. Seriously, read the negative Yelp and Google reviews. There is legitimacy in them, and I wish I had taken them more seriously.
I used to live here and I enjoyed every minute. The management company was always attentive to any issues. There was a leak in the upstairs bathroom and they worked the following day and fixed both apartments. The price was reasonable. Great for families and singles. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place and amenities.
Imagine you wake up every morning and you don't find your car where you have parked it!!! Imagine the hassle having to look for Uber twice a week to go to workout college and having to pay for your towed car over $200 to get it back from the towing company!!They towed my daughter's car twice in her first week there. They were never clear about the parking rules and what is permissive and what is not. Management until now are not cooperative especially that it is their fault that towing the car was due to short of info from their side. They refuse to refund is the towing fees and are arrogant not to admitvtvatvtgeyvare not clear and are not organized when fibbing info to new tenants. Such a disappointment. I wish the refund us what we have paid and we leave immediately especially after the seared bugs my daughter found in her bed.
Welcome to the Madison Park Google tour! Make sure to read the NOT RECOMMENDED REVIEWS TOO! MOLD INFESTED!!!!! Look at the pictures!!! Many residents have become sick as a result of this. So, since my last review a few things have changed, and not for the better. MG Properties has taken over at Madison Park. You would think this was Melrose place with all the drama amongst the management and leasing office. They do things that are extremely illegal, and they don't care because they have a lot of money and assume that nobody can pay an attorney. Management never accepts calls. The manager Autumn spends most of her time shopping for purses online. Now you have to set an appointment to meet with her. Alexis is nice, but you can tell her hands are pretty much tied and because of this I don't think she can help the residents as much as she would like to. Most of the leasing agents are temps so you see different faces all the time. On June 26th my boyfriend and I were attacked by another resident while we were hanging out by the pool. The police report says we were victims of an attack who acted in self defense. MG Properties is aware that we were attacked and that the other resident was cited by the police. They are also aware of the fact that we obtained a restraining order against this other resident. Yet and still somehow they feel they have grounds to evict us, because we were attacked on their property. Nevermind the fact that we are the victims of this residents 4th attack. She has attacked people 3 other times. They have served us with a 3-day notice despite the fact that they promise an adequate amount of security. There wasn't even a guard on duty during the attack. They believe 1 guard is enough for this HUGE property. Truth is they need at least 2 guards at a time to adequately cover the grounds. Considering that I saw someone's gas spewing out of their car, during the day from the gas tank being drilled MG Properties should have security 24/7. Everyday someone's car gets stolen or broken into. Read all of the reviews and look at all of the pictures of residents cars having been tampered with. I have personally spent over $800 on repairs for our cars as a result of the damage from having them here. Be aware of the towing company. Sometimes they tow cars for no reason. You can only imagine going to work and walking out to an empty parking space you pay $50 a month for. Despite the fact I have been waiting 6-7 months for them to respond to my numerous maintenance request, all of a sudden since they served us with a 3-day notice they put a 24 hour notice on my door to enter my apartment to do inspections and repairs. As if I didn't have enough stress to deal with while I work a full-time job, and have to spend a lot of time fighting a 3-day notice that I shouldn't have received in the first place. You will also see that many residents are sick or have developed disabilities as a result of the mold that grows in all of our bathrooms because the ventilation hasn't been updated since the 50's when the buildings were built. The whole complex including trash rooms and laundry rooms are infested with mold. Check out the mold results I posted from a sample of mold in my bathroom that I had tested. It's terrible that they only care about money and not the well-being of their residents. Most kitchens have brown stains on the ceiling caused by old wore out pipes leaking. The plumbing is often clogged. I attached a photo which shows my neighbors shower water backed into my tub which overflowed into my bedroom. There are a lot of roaches throughout the complex and on the grills by the pool. Check out the video I posted of the big roach crawling out of the managers office!!! Believe me she is aware of the roach problem. Air conditioning units need to be replaced They dont follow ADA service dog laws. Roaches crawl out of the managers office,so she is very aware of the problem. DO NOT SIGN THE MOLD CLAUSE RELEASING LIABILITY!!!! Make them fix the problem!!!
STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED. 1. Office staff it's never available, and when they are they are super rude. 2. Maintenance in general it's really poor. 3. Parking, building, amenities security it's just a joke, because there isn't. 4. Anybody can walk/drive in and do whatever they want to your car, patio/balcony , property, there's even homless people leaving and locking themselfes inside the pool area restrooms or laundry rooms , in which by the way most of the washers are broken.
