We moved in March of 2015, it seemed great at first . But so many problems after the first month from living there , our dryer broke our fridge broke , took forever for someone to come look at them all my food went bad. Not only that it took for ever for them to be replaced. There were about 6 cars that got broken into 2 of them being my neighbors. It's unsafe! The people in the office aren't friendly. We just recently moved out, they told us we needed to be out on March 6 2016 , we all made sure we were , we paid the rent from March 1st-6th . Then they told us we owe to the 13th. They can't get their story straight. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Do not move here unless you want to be robbed or attacked! I am afraid for my life and the company does not care. It's all about the money! Don't waste your money, your life is worth more. Rick , your CEO needs to come to Florida to personally train his property manager Laura Ettman at The Cove at Boynton Beach about providing better customer service and security for a safe environment to live. The security gate is always broken, numerous car break-ins, robberies/burglaries, infestation of stray cats and violent dogs, fights in the parking lots, raccoon infestation by the dumpsters, dark parking lots/walk ways, and over priced apartments. Living alone in this community I am afraid for my life. When expressing my concern with the crime and my safety to Laura, your property manager, her response to me is "crime happens everywhere" so then I asked her if she would feel comfortable living here and she responds " I don't need to answer that, I own a house" in a very rude and condescending manner. This is how you train your employees to treat your residents? So disgusted and appalled with this company. Screen your tenants better, fix the gates, fix the lighting, get rid of the stray cats, get rid of the violent dogs. #dontnovehere #nocustomerservice #afraidformylife #unsafe #nosecurity #toomuchcrime #crime #allaboutthemoney #dobetter #safetyconcern #freedomofspeech
My wife and moved here 2 years ago. Until recently it has been a great place to live. Now we don't feel safe anymore. Fights in parking, Late night disputes, and constant traffic and noise make The Cove a desperate place to call home!
We've been here for almost a year now and we cannot wait to get out. When we first moved in, the place seemed awesome, but now it's just another crappy complex in Boynton. Maintenance only works bankers hours, so if you need something repaired or looked at, good luck if you actually have a job. The gates are always broken thanks to the idiots they let move in to this complex. Sometimes the complex will have them fixed quickly, other times they take forever. Also, they are overcharging for apartments that have no upgrades whatsoever. Also, there have been multiple times where there have been people using drugs by the pool and apartments have been broken into multiple times in the last 6 months. I do not feel safe here anymore. They will also charge you pet rent at $20 per pet, yet they can't seem to keep the bags stocked at the pet stations. However, they will not hesitate sending out nasty letters to the residents reminding them to pick up after your pets. We had a pest issue inside our apartment. When we requested pest control come out, we were told that the only time they could come was in the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday. Well, unlike some of the shady people living in this complex, my husband and I have jobs. My husband was unable to make it home in time. We were told it would be another week before they would be able to have the pest control company come to our apartment and that there was nothing they could (or wanted) to do about it. Turns out, they were lying. When I pulled in, the pest control technician was at the front office finishing up. My husband went and talked to him and he was more than happy to come to our apartment to solve our problem. Just save yourself the time, stress, headaches, and worry and spend a little more and go elsewhere.
Lots of friendly faces to get you comfortable right up until you sign the lease. At that point you become just another paycheck. I lived in The Cove for 3 years, mostly because we were attempting to save to get into a better place or a home. Keep in mind I make more than double what I made when we first got accepted with no issues 3 years ago. Every year we were approved with no issues. The staff wasnt exactly warm and fuzzy anymore, but we were approved with minimal time and effort. We were planning on renewing this year as well since our lease is up in October, and we had been communicating with the staff that we were planning to renew but couldnt afford ANOTHER $100+ increase to our monthly rent. We were advised by 2 different members of the staff to wait until closer to the move out date to see if something closer to our price range came up. We found one that we could afford and went in for the process to get the lease done, and we all of sudden don't qualify. With less than 2 weeks to find a place to live my family, incuding my 1 year old son, have no place to go. The staffs response was a very robotic "Not our problem." To top it off, they are trying to charge us a fee for not giving them 60 days notice saying we're moving out. They are not able to tell me why, even though I make more than double what I made 3 years ago and we've never had an issue renewing, no late or missed payments, we all of a sudden don't qualify.
