I agree with the reside below. I have lived here for years, and I always considered it to be to a hidden gem. The apartments were well kept, rules were enforced in a timely and respectful manner, and there wasn't an abundance of people just hanging over their balconies smoking and talking loud. Recently my home was broken into while on vacation, and my television was stolen. I noticed the theft later than when I returned due to the the television being in my guest bedroom. There was no sign of a break in, and nothing else was stolen. Additionally, there were only two maintenance workers who entered into our apartments for maintenance issues for years until the change in management back in January. Now they have four maintenance workers who never seems to (in my personal opinion) be doing anything but walking around, and talking on the phone. No one has access to my apartment but the property and myself, and my home was accessed while on vacation for a maintenance inspection. I have had countless inspections with the previous management over the years, and NONE of my things ever turned up missing. This is the only time where my belongings were removed, and given that no one has keys to my apartment but the property and myself, I was extremely confused. The property managers were not sympathetic in any way, shape, or form, and REFUSED to send letters to the tenants until I filed a police report. After the police report was filed, the letters were sprinkled around to some neighbors, but it was well after receiving that police report. My next door neighbor was also robbed. Another thing that bothered me was that with the previous management (First Communities), employees were not allowed to stay on the property that they worked on. However, with this next property management company, some of my neighbors have reported to me that there are employees staying on the property. That was kind of disturbing to find out due to my recent break-in, and it just makes me feel overall uncomfortable living here. It feels like someone is always watching and plotting on you (r at least for me). I am careful what I take into my home, and how visible high value items are due to the influx of undesirable neighbors. This apartment company USED to be great, but it is now crumbling to the same seedy apartment complexes around Atlanta. I used to feel safe and protected as the neighbors are pretty tight knit around the complex. The complex USED to be for young professionals, quiet, well-kept, break in free, and just not the typical sketchy apartment complexes that you see across Atlanta. Of course I am moving, and I wouldn't suggest moving here because the lack of respect and professionalism from the staff, their inconsistency in resident communication, and also their unethical business policies. Its best to just rent a house.
Lived here for years with no issues, now new management does not communicate well and has come in attempting to to do a full on dictatorship. "Enforcing rules" is what they call it, but in truth, they arent even taking time to get to know the people who have lived here or why they have continued to live here. They dont work with the residents and there have been break-ins since new management has come in. If it isn't within certain hours, you cannot reach anyone, and they also have changed the culture of the property. Too many kids now, which is disturbing what use to be a quiet residence for young adult professionals. I am ready to move as soon as possible. What you pay for, is NOT what you get. Do not move here!!!
