I've lived in Shadow Creek for over a year and I've been really happy with living here. If you look at Google Maps, you'll see it's near Howarth Park, which is only a half mile away; awesome for hiking, tennis, fishing, etc. Also looking at Google Maps, you'll see the apartment complex is on its own road, which means little traffic. The staff is always helpful and kind and they fix whatever around your apartment fast. The staff also puts on events for residents every now and then. The grounds are very pretty with all its fountains and willow trees. There's a garden for residents to plant whatever they want. I've never felt unsafe there, I walk around the complex at night all the time Now, the downsides. The biggest one is its pricey. Yeah, you can save money by living in a sketchier part of town, but you get what you pay for. If you don't mind spending a bit more for a better part of town in a good complex, then this place is good. There's A LOT of cats in the complex. If you dislike cats, this could be a big problem. Some aprts don't have great views. I live in an aprt on the north side overlooking the backwoods (very pretty); however, some aprts overlook Montgomery Blvd, not a great view. So there's some ups and downs, but the ups definitely outway the downs.
Great management, and very hard working maintenance staff. The apartments are surrounded by fountains, and a wooded creek. The pool is nicely heated, but the hot tub is loud and seems like it could use some work. For the price, the apartments are generally small, but if you get a garage lot you get much more storage space.
