Can't wait til my lease is up. When I first moved in the carpets where stained. No one cleans after their dogs. There's a family of skunks living outside. Recently my apartment building's alarm went off in the middle of the night for no reason woke up everyone no one could make it stop we were waiting outside for about half an hour until we figured out how to yank the the thing out. This list goes on. Listen to the rating do not move in this place.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. SHADY SHADY SHADY. I made the unfortunate mistake of moving here because I was not familiar with the area and the prices were affordable back then. It was a year of hell. Drunk and crazy neighbors downstairs, had to call the police three times. It wasn't till I had recordings and a lawyer on stand by for the leasing office to take action. NOTHING Luxury about this place. The building is was built around the 70's and everything breaks and takes forever for maintenance to take care of it. Parking is horrendous after 5 PM. Most of the residents seems very sketchy and it's known to the drug hub on Murrieta. EWW. Finally moved to a wonderful place. I've been expecting for a call, email, or mail of my moving statement showing how much they will be swindling us. Well what do you know, THEY NEVER SENT ME A LETTER. Instead they sent me STRAIGHT to COLLECTIONS. They are charging us $1000 in damages, can't wait to see how they JUSTIFY THAT. Just called them and they denied what they did and a) they just expect postal service to figure out the new address b) they can email me the statement right now. Poorly ran, if you want to go thru all of this then please move here!
My husband and I, along with our two young children foolishly lived in these apartments for nearly 2 years, from July 2012 until late June 2014. We only did so because we were trying to save money to buy a house, and ended up moving back in with my husband's parents. Yeah, it was THAT BAD. To start, initially there was dog poop. EVERYWHERE. Pet friendly? More like we don't give a crap about crap. Seriously. Then ants, everywhere. I cleaned constantly and tried everything. They were still everywhere. Of course, management did nothing, claiming they sprayed for bugs and what not. Whatever. Then was the mold. Initially when we moved in, we thought it was fine, because they painted over it! I did my best, bleaching it and cleaning it to no avail. If you are not a smoker or are not into drugs, this is not the place for you. Even with our windows closed and AC off cigarette smoke still permeated into our apartment through the pathetic walls. My husband and I and our son all have asthma. Management didn't care. They said there was nothing they could do. Speaking of the pathetic walls, you can hear people having sex through them. Wow, isn't that great? NOT! In addition, the community is very unsafe. I don't care how much they say its improved. Instead of trying to keep bad people out, how about kick the bad people out? We were literally surrounded by drug lords. No matter how much we reported them to management, and even though the police were constantly coming to arrest people in those apartments, management did nothing. Apparently they care more about money than the safety of their residents. The security guards are useless. I tried calling them multiple times when our neighbors were high on drugs and damaging items we had on our porch or just being loud until 3 or 4 am in the morning. They never came. Most of the time the pool was broken as well as the workout room. Our dishwasher was covered in rust and they said it was "fine" and didn't need to be replaced. We constantly found condoms in the pools along with cum and pubic hair. Whoever wrote a good review on here must have been paid to. I know too many people that used to live there and they all say the same thing, GET OUT ASAP. Please, they are cheaper than other apartments for a reason. Don't sacrifice your safety and sanity. Live with your parents or in a homeless shelter before you go here. Don't waste your time and money!
DO NOT GO TO THE ARBORS FOR APARTMENTS. My boyfriend and I had the worst first apartment applying experience here. We worked with a really rude, unprofessional and disrespectful woman named Deborah who is in So-Cal from Atlanta Georgia. She kept reinforcing we would get a $100 processing fee back if we decided to cancel our applications. She mislead us to believe we would be getting a refund and kept saying, in her own words, "I am going to play the Georgia card and act like I dont know what Im talking about". We called to cancel and she not only told us we were wrong and "Not getting anything back" but she decided to hang up on us too. Tried to talk to the manager, was really no help . Worst experience, we saw the bad reviews and decided to still take a chance. DONT TAKE THE CHANCE HERE LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS.Its too bad I cant give it zero stars.
SUCKS...NO JOKING. MANAGEMENT IS ALWAYS NEW AND NO ONE STAYS. THE FLOOR PLANS ARE A JOKE. THERE ARE NO CLOSETS...ONE IN THE BEDROOM. THERE IS NO PLACE FOR A KITCHEN TABLE....THE NEIGHBORS ARE GHETTO AND THERE IS DOG SHIT EVERYWHERE YOU WALK ON THE GRASS. THEY HAD A GYM WHEN I MOVED IN AND 3 POOLS...THEY BULLDOZED IT ALL AWAY TO REFURBISH THE GROUNDS....SO, BASICALLY, I HAD NO GYM OR POOL AREA AS ADVERTISED AS AN AMMENETY. ALL MY APPLIANCES BROKE DOWN WITHIN 3 MONTHS AND CEILING FANS WENT OUT, NEW DISHWASHER STOPPED WORKING AND EVEN THOUGH I PUT WORK ORDERS IN, IT WOULD TAKE MONTHS LATER TO GET THEM OVER TO FIX IT....SO, I JUST GAVE UP AND STARTED HANDWASHING DISHES AND USING ONE LIGHT FOR MY ROOM. MY SISTER QUICKLY CHOSE THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX WITHOUT RESEARCHING IT BECAUSE I HAD TO HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE MOVING UP FROM SAN DIEGO. I AM WARNING ANYONE WHO CONSIDERS THE ARBORS ON CAL OAKS ROAD TO KEEP DRIVING....THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND OVERPRICED WITH VERY WEIRD FLOOR PLANS. ONLY RIFF RAFF PEOPLE LIVE HERE. IT IS GHETTO AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT.
