A few months ago I was looking for an apartment in Arlington. I met with the leasing office and the entire staff just blew me away with their hospitality. especially Marie. She made every effort to to make sure I had the perfect home that fit everything I had asked for, including a ton of closet space. The building speaks for itself. Its beautiful from the moment you walk in. A beautiful common space with concierge, and hot and cold beverages ready for when you need them!! My favorite is the fresh infused water made daily!! As for the other amenities, a state of the art gym (which is nicer then the one I belong too), a lovely club room with outdoor fire pit, and one of the best rooftops in all of Arlington, pool and grills included. I love coming home everyday to The Beacon. Thanks again to the great staff.

My husband and I moved here in October 2014 after a few years of commuting between Atlanta and Arlington. We had looked at apartment and condo communities for two years in the Courthouse, Clarendon and Ballston areas and waited for The Beacon to be completed before committing to a lease, primarily because we love the location and because during the pre-construction meeting we had with leasing agent, he made the building sound so compelling. It has not disappointed! We just signed another 12-month lease. Aside from its location, which is one mile from my husband's office in Ballston, the building itself is fabulous. Northside Social, Liberty Tavern, O'Sullivans, and Silver Diner are our regular hangouts, Clarendon metro station is a 2-minute walk away, and we're right on the edge of the gorgeous Lyon Village neighborhood, which is perfect for dog walks amid beautifully landscaped yards and lovely homes. I walk to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods nearly every day and LOTS of high-end dining and great casual take-out places are within a mile. The building is the right size for my tastes (it has kind of a boutique hotel feel), with only six floors in parts of the building and ten in the tallest part of the building. It has a cool rooftop pool area and patio with grills and lots of seating and tables for dining (always a group or two of residents up there, but never too raucous). A great party room with pool table is available for groups and we use the workout room regularly (clean and well-equipped). The open and contemporary design of the lobby makes a good impression on our guests. Management is responsive and friendly, the two maintenance guys are amazing, and the cleaning crew is always at work (except at night). Concierges include a couple of reliable, long-time guys/gals, but as in many buildings, some temps come and go. Still, it's a reliable system and someone is always available. There were some early kinks (elevators had weird outages, for example, and few floors were still under construction for a couple of months after we moved in, making a fair amount of mess), but they are now resolved. Clarendon can be pretty raucous so it is a little noisy on weekend nights (Don Tito and Clarendon Ballroom rooftop bars are "active"). And as in every apartment or condo-living situation, there are occasional issues with neighbors whose puppies bark or have accidents in elevators, or whose music is too loud, or whose kids yelling in the hall is distracting. But residents here are generally respectful and respectable. Trends young professionals but there are also middle-aged diplomats, retirees and part-time residents who are here on assignment. Very few young families, lots of great dogs! We're 60 and there are a few other "aging hipster" couples here. I don't think the younger-and-hipper residents mind having us around, nor do we mind the young folks; my husband and I socialize with a couple of different young-ish groups. We downsized from an Atlanta house and a lake house into our 1225 s.f. apartment and I wasn't crazy about the idea of apartment living and I had no idea how expensive it is to live in the area, but it has turned out to be an amazing experience. We spend so much less on utilities, insurance, autos, etc. and this location is fabulous for trips to the District. Capital Bikeshare racks are everywhere and we use them every day. We are not the type to commute to work ... it's worth the extra money to be close to the office, close to D.C. and in the middle of Arlington.

I had the pleasure of living at the Beacon Clarendon for a year, and was one of the first residents in the building. The Beacon Clarendon is in the perfect location in Arlington, and if you want to be right in the middle of all the action, you couldn't pick a better place to live. The building has the feel of an upscale residence, and yet everyone that works in the building is as nice as can be. Anytime there was something I needed to talk to the management office about, they were always available and responded immediately. Had it not been for a work relocation, I would have loved to spend even more time as a resident of the Beacon Clarendon. Highly recommend!
