So far a good place to live. Mostly well maintained though the main office lobby gets most of the attention. Units are nice and have up to three bedrooms. Master bedroom is fully closed but the other rooms are 3/4 walls. Not the best if you have really young children but that shouldn't be a surprise. Check out the floor plans on the loft website for more details. Neighbors are a mix of students and youngish professionals; some with families. They are good but do keep to themselves but a few will pop out for the fairly frequent organized events held by the front office. Events range from movies on the lawn to make your own waffles in the west loft lobby. The lobby always has popcorn, coffee, and tea available. Probably for new prospective residents but I usually grab some tea in my way home from the gym and no one seems to mind. The gym has a nice selection of equipment and is utilized well but is not over crowded. No sweat rack or bench for press bit there are free weights. In the complex is a Jimmy Johns, yoga studio, and comet coffee. Comet is my favorite cup of coffee in the city. Check out my review on their page. Lofts at the highlands are adjacent to forest park which is my favorite feature. I spend so much time in the park. It is about a 15 minute walk either across Hampton or St the science center underpass. Wish there was closer access but this is still superb. When there are major events at forest park the administration hires security and locks down parking. You can see fireworks during fair stlouis but just barely over the trees. If you hate fun and don't like fireworks they probably yet won't bother you too much. Now that we have uber in town most of the city is within a 15 dollar ride away. Great overall location!
