I would say that I just love living here!!! The one who helped me was Nicole and she has the best personality, but also very friendly and personable. I have referred my family and friends there. I want to thank her and the manager Shannon for the opportunity to establish a rental history. I would recommend to anyone that's starting off or establishing. S.Hill
I am about to move out as my lease is up. The apt units are average, some are upgraded kitchens but I didn't have one. The view on top of Buck Hill is great. However; the management at the office is absolutely horrible!! They are really bad about getting things fixed. I still have a microwave with a cracked handle and that was like that when I moved in! There were other things that needed to get done but never did. I'm surprised they fixed the garbage disposal. Also, the office misplaced my 30 day notice to move out and I was automatically placed on a month to month lease without my knowledge!! I didn't know until I got my monthly rent card in the mail that they send out. I had to speak with Dana who then apologized and got everything taken care of. But that should have not happened!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is no community feel here that they claim and management is just bad enough to just stay away!!
t a short note re: Jullien's comments: 1. the HUD renters who do not work. If they do not work it may be because they have terminal illnesses like cancer and are totally disabled under Social Security by at least 2 doctors including an adverse one, or they are elderly and have such a low pension that they cannot afford market rate housing, or they are a young famly working gainfuly doing jobs like teachers aides, PCAs, retail, and a whole host of things that keep life going normal for all of you. Yes, they do work full time and even then they get paid so low by corporations reaping massive profits that they qualify for subsidies while they pay 40% or more of their incomes for rent. Do you pay that much in rent? probably not. So, wouldn't it be nice of people all tried to be nice to their neighbors and stopped with the judgment game? cause no one wins when that goes on. And usually the people playing it forget that when they point the finger at someone, 4 fingers point back at them. Jullien is a very rude neighbor. As you can imagine. And sadly, probably because of ignorant hate speech like that of Julliens, The Observatory no longer takes Section 8. So those disabled people and poor elderly in this county are finding housing next to impossible to locate. Thanks Jullien. I hope you are happy.
I currently live here and am seriously ready to just pay the fee to move out sooner then November when my lease is up. I wouldn't even give it a star if I could. The outside looks great but the insides are horrible. But management here has to be the worse I have ever experienced. The ladies that work in the office are just rude and unhelpful. Any time you have to talk to them about something regarding the building or your bill (which is usually ALWAYS not right) they act like you are ruining their lives. The worst part of living here though is they accuse people of stuff they haven't even done without investigating further into a situation, and they are always throwing in some kind of "hidden fee". We have had a problem with wasps living in our deck and AC unit, but nobody ever came to fix it so we ended up taking care of the problem ourselves. If you are considering living at this place, I highly recommend not signing a year lease, you will end up hating it and wanting to leave before your year is up!! BOTH THUMBS DOWN!!
You will never feel comfortable parking your vehicle here. Not only would they refuse to tow a vehicle that was parked in my parking spot in the garage that I pay for monthly, they will tow you if your tabs expire though. I got home from being in traffic for two hours, and was not allowed to enter the parking lot because they were painting a speed bump at 5pm, when everything started at 8:30am. My roommate was also not allowed to leave (her car was in the garage). They just said "sorry", this is your responsibility. They just don't care about customer service here.
