Expensive (breakdown below). Rude management (the low level workers are polite). But management acts like you work for them rather than as customers. They have no maturity either, as the manager lady responds to people like a 15 year old angry teenager in a passive-aggressive tone. Ask a simple question and you will get a response like as if you are being demanding. They don't change any of the gym equipment unless it's broken. They don't add new equipment despite a lot of free space in the gym. They replaced a few treadmills once and that's it. It's EXPENSIVE: expect to pay (1-bedroom) $1765-1950 for rent at lowest + $75 garage parking + $80 electricity + $10-20 gas + $30 trash + $20 water PER MONTH. Expect to pay at lowest: $2000/month+. They say starting prices are $1650 etc., but that was years before and they will quickly raise the rent for you because they expect people to constantly move in and out. If I try to rent as a new customer it would be $1765 at lowest. They put the same coffee and tea for years as an "amenity". Ask questions about the flavors or something and you can expect to be scolded for daring to question "free stuff they gift us." (even though it's our money). Trash service doesn't pick up boxes or anything except what's in the box. And you cannot opt out. It is PART of the rent. You can't say "no trash service" (even if they do a bad job). They basically tell you, that you are forced to pay. A lot of things break down but lately they fixed that issue so not as much maintenance is needed. You're better off buying some place or renting somewhere else. They are here to rip you off. When they say "your rent may go down" they are lying. If you try to argue for less rent, they will say "we need to give raises to our management and agents too." They do surveys every year and they do nothing to improve probably because a lot of people are polite and don't complain. Occasionally they do events, like a cupcake day or a breakfast or a kid's movie night, and one time they did a prize giveaway raffle type thing. But don't expect anything too frequently and some of them are events that you will have no interest in and very little explanation of what the event actually is. One time they made a dinner event and food ran out so you are left with the leftovers. There's no suggestion box. There is no complaint box. When firealarms go off at 4 AM, no one apologizes or explains why it happened. Noise goes through walls and if people are running or if the person upstairs is obese and walk heavily, you will hear every footstep and your lights WILL SHAKE. You can hear your neighbors talk when you are near the walls.

I lived here for two years. The leasing office had a huge attrition issue, as none of the people that worked there when I signed up worked there. Maintenance one day quit after he was fed up. The apartments are not sound protected. You can hear every step, and sound your neighbors above you make. The office is unorganized. I attempted to rent the movie theatre room for a football game, and after it was done by the sales manager, he called me right before the game to tell me somebody else has reserved it. Since I lived there two years, I have had multiple things fail in the unit from the A/C, leaking sink, lights, cracks in the wall, garage door opener, door lock, hardwood floors (apparently are not really wood or poorly done), toilet, and lost my parking space due to the snow storm. Sometimes the office would fail communicating amongst each other, and things would simply not happen and requests would go into the black hole. Lack of consistency was a big issue. When I signed up for my second year I was informed by management I would have my deposit returned to me. I kept a clean unit, paid my bills on time, and put up with the offices mismanagement. When I decided it was time to move out, I sent them a notice. Later, I did move out, and turned in my keys early. A few weeks later they sent me a bill for an extra months rent at a 'monthly' rate minus my deposit. Along with that they sent me utility bills for a month when I did not occupy the space. And, bills from the previous month after I already paid the utility companies directly. Yes, the area is nice, the units 'were' new years ago, and the community is nice because of the million dollar townhouses across the street that share the HOA fees. Reality is you can find something comparable for a lot less, and a lot less pain in the area which is saturated with housing. Not to mention there is not a thing within walking distance. Having lived at a few different places do not judge a book by its cover, and debias yourself from the frame of luxury when you walk into this apartment complex. Look at the simple facts that are in front of you. It is expensive, the units are cheaply done, the customer service is non-existent. They randomly increase prices, and try to get you for another charge after you move out. It is strange that they do not have a more senior or experienced manager on staff to direct the office. Many of the decisions being made are done because of poor leadership.

The buildings fire alarms going off at night, no apology from management. The management staff is constantly changing, the person who sold rented you your place will be gone in a month and god forbid you don't have everything in writing in the contract when a new person comes on. The fire alarms in your kitchen will go off constantly when you cook anything. The building looks nice but the management team is horrible and treats its tennants like crap.
