About This Apartment

Hey all,

My roommates and I have a room in our apartment near 137th Street and Broadway that will become available June 1st. We are looking for someone to stay until the end of July.

The apartment is big; it has 5 bedrooms, a large living room, a separate dining room and kitchen, and one bathroom. The bedroom is roughly 10'x12' and include closets. You'll need your own furniture. The room will comfortably hold a full sized bed, a desk, bookshelves and dresser.

The three of us (two males, one female) are friends and Columbia University people ----a PhD student (age 23), a recent graduate (age 26), and a lawyer (age 30). We have two cats; their names are Leon and Ivan. We're all friendly, albeit a bit quirky, and with interests ranging across a vast cultural spectrum. At home, we're sociable, often gathering together for meals and conversations on the fly. But at other times we're all quite focused on our work. Such as it is, we try to keep the place pretty tranquil. Everyone is respectful of others in the common areas, cleans up after themselves (especially dishes. . . not kidding around here, sorry.), and has a conscientious attitude. But we're not stiffs. We all have a sense of humor and enjoy talking about pretty much anything. We're New Yorkers, so we like to talk. We especially like to talk about weird stuff. If you're open-minded, thoughtful and punctilious, you'll do just fine here.

Utilities (gas, electric, and cable internet service) are roughly $50 per month, and we'll need a one-month security deposit before you move in. Get in touch for more details, pictures, etc.

We've gotten a lot of copy-and-paste responses. Would you mind including your thoughts on one of the following exhibits in your email so that we know you're not a droid?

Exhibit A:

DREAMTIGERS
