I am renting a room for the month of June. The apartment is roughly a 5 minute
walk to the subway station where you can take the M or the L train into
Manhattan in 15-20 minutes, (easily accessible to Union Square or the LES).
The room is furnished with a bed and a dresser. The apartment has 2 other
bedrooms which will be subleased as well so if you have friends who are
interested in a temporary room, this could work for them also. I am asking for
$750 for the month which includes rent, gas, electric and internet. I have a
window AC unit which can be installed too.
There is a large grocery store 2 blocks away, several laundry mats within a
few blocks and a park directly across the street. Most of the tenants in the
building are in their 20s and there is often music being played. If you are
looking for a quiet residence, I would not suggest this as an option; however,
if you welcome a social atmosphere you will find the people in the building to
be friendly.
