The Dakota is a most stunning architectural achievement wherein the heartfelt emotions associated with the horrible death of John Lennon will always reign in the memory of its grandeur.

I had the wonderful opportunity to live in this glorious building in the eighties. Seeing Roberts Flack, Yoko Ono and just the great ambience will not be forgotten. poached eggs and looking@who came in and went out was a favorite pastime. Great memories!

Even after all these years I can't help but think what a tragic, senseless way John Lennon had left this world. If you can time travel would you change what happened?

I love it here. Mainly went because I'm a huge Beatle buff, but it was absolutely beautiful. Across the street is Strawberry Fields in Central Park, a field with a "shrine" for John Lennon - also in the shape of a teardrop. I'd love to go back! And the architecture of the Dakota is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.
