I just called, They want 100 per month in pet rent for a dog 30 pounds or larger. I have lived in Orange county and their pet rent was not that high. 100 dollars a month for your medium sized dog. That is 1000 pear year plus the rent. That is insane!!!!

DO NOT RENT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! The management staff is incredibly incompetent and doesn't seem to care about any problems that their tenants have. When I first moved in, it took them over 2 months to even give me a mail key. It has now been over 6 months since I've requested that they fix my refrigerator and I've contacted them between 5-10 times and I they have told me at least 3 times that they have sent in work orders - of course they still have NOT fixed the problem - or even contacted me ONCE to follow up about it. The management staff is extremely unprofessional and doesn't seem to care about their tenants. The elevator often smells like urine and the floor of the elevator (there is only one) is consistently littered with trash and other unknown liquids. You will find beer cans littering the parking garage every day - which at some places is only 5'5" high and has caused me to bang my head multiple times (or walk hunched over). The parking garage has two gates, but only one closes, meaning that the parking garage is completely insecure. Additionally, while walking through the hallways you will consistently notice a variety of unpleasant odors that change on a daily basis. Their wall-mounted AC units do not work well and I'm constantly dripping with sweat. They have absolutely no amenities and while my unit was not in terrible condition, it was certainly not up to par with what I had expected. There were numerous problems - some of which they did fix - but the rest they completely ignored. I was also once trapped outside on my balcony on the fourth floor (which has a prison-like cage surrounding it and screams with ear-shattering highway noise) because the door to my balcony broke. I didn't lock myself out (as there is no lock), the door actually broke and became non-functional. I was therefore stranded out there at 4 AM. Fortunately, I had my cell phone and I called their maintenance line and they told me my only option was to smash open the window and break into my own apartment. Luckily I had a chair that I used to smash through the glass window of my door, otherwise I would have been stranded outside in the middle of the night on a concrete patio surrounded by prison-like caging. In the process I injured my hand, and I had to move my bed out in the living room because of all the pieces of glass that covered the floor. I cleaned the glass on the inside and I asked them to help with that or to at least clean the glass on the outside - but I still to this day find pieces of glass on my patio. My main door is also exhibiting issues - I have to wiggle the handle and close and open and then re-close the door multiple times to actually have the door close fully. I've told them about this multiple times as well, but I don't expect them to ever do anything about it. When I first moved in I spoke to approximately 4-5 tenants about their opinions on living at Solana Vista. Every single person gave extremely negative views and advised me to "get out as soon as possible," which is what they did and I am going to do myself. Even though I only heard negative things after moving in, I still tried my best and maintained a positive attitude, but now I can't wait to leave. Save yourself the agony and DO NOT EVER LIVE at SOLANA VISTA!

Horrible experience here. The complex is always filthy and smells like sewer trash and the employees / Staff are incompetent . Save yourself the head ache and just pay a high deposit somewhere else this place is slum living in SD at a high price.

They were very nice people but COMPLETELY disorganized. I spoke with one person and put a deposit down to rent an apartment. They're procedure is to have you put a deposit and then do your credit check and get back with you in the following days. They never got back to me. I called them over a week later and they said "Sorry, I thought my colleague was going to tell you that we approved you for the apartment would you still like to move in." Besides being irritated with them, its been over a MONTH and they keep promising me my deposit back and never calling me nor have they sent it to me. I was just ttold that even after 5 weeks, it hasn't even been requested.

DO NOT RENT HERE!! this is the worst possible place any one could live. The hallways always stink like urine and pot the thin walls and shady people make being in your apartment extremely unpleasant. And the hot water sucks. I wouldn't live here if it was free. Please don't waste your money on this place. For the same price you could find a much better apartment... I did.
