Shakira Mercier was my realtor for the most part. What I liked about her was that she listened, and after she showed me the first apartment, every apartment after was better suited. She worked very hard and for the most part stayed in touch, largely via text. What really sold me on her was that she completely videotaped a great apartment, narrating all its qualities, when I couldn't come out to see a place she thought was perfect. She even recorded the entrance and lobby, and the hallway and laundry room too. Truly above and beyond. (I ended up signing for that place.) The only improvements I would have liked to have seen were better communication when applying -- the perfect place that I loved, in a better price range for me, actually had another application ahead of me. I would have preferred knowing that before putting down large sums of money. Also, they don't take personal checks so it creates a bigger inconvenience. I was promised my deposit back within 48 hours but it wasn't even until 48 hours later that I learned someone else had gotten the apartment I wanted, and then it was days before my deposit money was acknowledged. While I did end up not needing to get it back since I took a place with them, I would rather have had open, honest communication. But, in the end, I would recommend them, and esp Shakira. Just ask a lot of questions when money comes into it, and also really lowball the amount you'll pay, because my rent ended up being $275 more per month than I originally came in for.
